49|Just a Scrape

3rd person

"Alexis kitten please" Ace mumbled

She didn't answer and she wasn't going to

He grabbed the dress she wore "please its been 36 hours you've had only 2 breaks your feet are in bandages and you've thrown up more than you've eaten you need to take a break"

She went over a log still ignoring him Ace growled and picked her up "LISTEN TO ME ANSWER ME DAMMIT" he hissed he pinned her against a tree "you've been ignoring me for hours I understand you're stressed but you're not helping anyone acting like this"

"I need my baby" she whispered

His tense muscles relaxed a little he pulled her back away from the tree he hugged her "I know, I know it's gunna be okay" he held her sides rubbing softly he jolted when she shoved him away then threw up again he winced

"We need a break" he said soothingly rubbing her back she shook her head spitting "you have to" he sighed she stood back up and huffed

"I can't" she turned to keep walking he picked her up

"Then I'll carry you for a bit" he put her on his back for a piggy back ride

Ace was sick himself he knew he was losing Alexis and Luna if Harry was back he knew Alexis wouldn't give 2 fucks about him anymore

But if Harry wasn't coming back ,if he really was stuck in his animal state, and he'd taken Luna he knew Alexis would never be the same she'd never be able to cope with losing Harry getting him back then him killing their daughter

There would be no coming back from that

"Anything?" He mumbled

"No scent" someone behind him announced

"Right" he sighed

Harry had woken up to Luna crying from hunger pains he ignored her as best as he could eventually she fell back asleep she was clinging to his fur

A few hours later the sun rose and Harry was up he left her in the room and went out for breakfast

He got a deer he ate but he was still hungry he knew exactly where to get food and a bit of fun he walked back to the house he peeked into the room there was the baby where he left it but she was using rocks to scrape the floor like she would use chalk her pacifier back in her mouth

He walked over and grabbed her dress he brought her outside and plopped her down she whined and looked around taking a glance back at Harry before she got up she played with her fingers looking at him

Harry was confused about why she was staring at him but Luna was thinking ,she'd seen him before

Harry nudged her with his nose she whined Harry groaned and nudged her again much harder this time he wanted her to run to take off, provide him with a little chase

She got the point and turned around starting to walk off glancing back at Harry he just waited she looked up at the tops of trees as she got into the thicker bush she saw a butterfly and gasped her pacifier dropping to the ground as she ran stretching out her fingers making grabby hands "Bafly! Bafly!" She squeaked running after it

Harry rolled his shoulders getting himself ready to pounce

Luna was a good 40 feet from the tree line 3 butterflies were dancing around in front of her flying frantically as she stumbled behind but the poor baby wasn't playing attention a tree root sticking out from the dusty beige dirt tripped her up

She fell onto her tummy she started to ball her stomach already hurt from hunger pain put she just fell right onto it "MUMMMY!" She sobbed she sat up and saw a bloody scrape on her knee she cried harder "Mummy Mummy Mummy!!" She screamed looking around not understanding why mummy wasn't coming

Harry walked straight to her it wasn't the chase he wanted but he was hungry more than anything he'd find a chase in something else he stalked right up to her he was salivating at the snack he licked over his teeth and opened his mouth

But he froze

that smell...

He knew that smell

He sniffed the air then followed it to her bloody knee he wiggled his nose and batted at it the smell made his head spin he squeezed his eyes shut shaking his head he saw something... something fuzzy

He had no idea was going on until his side hit the ground ,he'd tripped himself up, he spasmed and got back on his feet 2 smells distinctly but they led made one whole smell he knew those scents but he couldn't bring himself to remember what they were

He inched forward and licked her knee softly the blood made him seize up

Alpha blood... human blood

He was caught even more off guard when Luna wrapped her arms around his neck hugging him

"Dada" she cried

He let her hug him he couldn't fathom eating her now not with that scent he so desperately wanted to know what it was ,that scent made him compelled to protect her

Harry wiggled away he could hear the rumbling of her stomach he looked around he grabbed her dress in his teeth he carried her to a log he sat her on it and turned around he scanned the forest floor he spotted a rabbit it only took 5 large, quick steps to catch it he brought it back and dropped it at her feet

Luna looked at it then back at him he nudged it to her again

"Yucky" she shook her head he groaned and looked around again he found some berries he brought them back to her into his mouth she put out her hand and he dropped them in her hand she picked one up and put it in her mouth it wasn't bad she ate them quickly

He got her a total of 3 handfuls she seemed content he licked her knee again then her face cleaning off tears and dirt

She winced and wiped her face with her arm she just put more dirt onto her face Harry growled and licked her clean again she went to wipe off he growled louder and she stopped

He wanted her to change into her wolf form he started to lick on her arms trying to bring out her natural instincts

She complied letting him lick her with her free hand she started to pet him and play with his ears he let her tug and pull on his ears for hours just to keep her happy

"Dada mm want mama" she whispered to Harry

He picked her up bringing her back to the house
