Chapter 7 The New Beginning Anna's Pov

"Yes Derek, its me." I said as i knelt towards the bed stroking his hair back

"Oh Anna I was so worried about you, and I just couldn't-"

"shhh' I cut him off "Everything is fine now, there's just somethings we have to talk about."

"I like what? What did the son of bitch do to you?" Derek asked filled with rage

"Derek, Dana's dead." I said with very little expression and my head down

"What happened?" he asked

"Um well these two guys came and they were outside and they wanted money and Derek, well he didn't have it." I sad hoping he would be satisfied with the answer

"and that's it?'

"Well that's all I heard, I was in the house."

"But did he do anything to you?"

"Derek I don't wanna talk about that right now." I said with a tear starting to roll down my face

"Anna, what happened?'

"I can't tell you Derek, I just can't okay. If I tell you then you won't want to be friends with me anymore." I said with tiny tear drops turning into buckets

"Did you have sex with Dana?" Derek asked with a look of disgust on his face

I sobbed he figured it out and there was no going back. I couldn't lie to him and all I felt was that same nothingness as before. I could tell I had been bipolar about the whole situation.

"Anna, just tell me," he hesitated "Just tell me why."

"Because Derek he's the only guy whos ever payed any attention to me besides you and I don't know for that little while he made me feel speacial. I realized that Dana wasn't that bad of a person and that he was the way he was because of what he had gone through and maybe, just maybe." I paused because I was yelling at him and I couldnt believe what I was about to say next.

"I could be the one for him to get his life back on track and maybe he would love me the way I've always wanted to be loved."

"I loved you, I always have, and I always will." Derek said with tears slowing coming down his face and a slight smile

"Derek it's not the same, I know you, you don't love me in that way. You love me the same way you love Melissa and Jesse and the same way I love Will and Carrie. Its that brother sister love ya know." It broke my heart saying that, but I knew it was true "That kiss was just in the heat of the moment and you did it to calm me down."

"Ha yeah you'r probably right, it was nothing."

"Well I'm glad we cleared that up, I'll see you tomorrow." I said with a smile.

"Anna wait theres one more thing you should know."

I turned around not knowing what would come out of Derek's mouth

"You'll see me tomorrow but it'll be the last time, I'm leaving for Woodward tomorrow and they don't know if I'll be able to come out once I turn eighteen or if I'll have to go to jail."
