"hey lauren.." hayden said as he approached the blonde girl.

"oh hey," lauren greeted and gave hayden a small smile.

"sorry for throwing you in, but you can get way too lazy." hayden joked and lauren laughed.

"it's all good." lauren replied and hayden nodded.

"do you wanna hangout tonight? we can like walk around or just chat in your cabin or mine." hayden suggested.

"sure." lauren nodded.

"see you at breakfast then." hayden waved and walked out of cabin 13 and walked to the cafeteria.

"what do you need to talk about?" kenzie wondered.

"kenz, i wanted to ask you if it's.. you know.. okay for me to like hayden?" lauren asked.

"lauren, you're my best friend since forever. i love you and you deserve the best, it's a-okay to like him. i support." kenzie smiled.

"thank you so much." lauren and kenzie shared a hug.

kenzie knocked on the cabin door, waiting for johnny to answer.

"open up, it's cold." kenzie announced and knocked again.

"just come inside." johnny replied.

taking off her shoes she saw johnny sitting on the bottom bunk, looking at his phone. "hello? i'm here, buddy." kenzie waved her hand in front of his face.

johnny groaned, turning off his phone he rolled over on the bed.

"are you gonna ignore me now?" kenzie said with a worried tone.

"no." johnny ran a finger through his hair.

"family business." johnny mumbled and sighed. "oh." kenzie leaned against the head board and started to play with her hair.

"when are you gonna leave?" kenzie asked.

"when camp finishes." johnny answered still looking at the empty wall.

"you're not gonna go home early?" kenzie felt a wave of happiness go around her body.

"i don't plan too." johnny rolled over and looked at kenzie; who was still playing with her hair.

"there's no need to leave early, i'm enjoying my time here. it hasn't even been a week yet." johnny looked down at his feet then looked back up to her face.

"why are you acting different?" johnny questioned, sitting up.

"i'm not." kenzie dropped the strand of hair she was playing with.

"it's just me." johnny chuckled at kenzie.

"i'm just tired." kenzie leaned her head on john's shoulder.

"you should've told me, you can sleep." johnny scooted over.

"it's fine." kenzie shook her head.

"you spent so much time with me these last couple days, i insist." johnny grabbed his blanket.

"john,"

"kenz."

"just rest." kenzie sighed in defeat as she laid down beside him.

putting his blanket over her she smelt his scent and smiled.

johnny leaned against the headboard and turned on his phone.
