(Y/N)'s POV

Shimmying into my dress, I stared at my reflection through the full length mirror. The satin wedding gown hugged my curves, making me feel more confident in my own skin than usual. My (h/c) locks framed my face neatly and was topped off with a small diamond crown to attach my veil to. I felt like a princess - every little girl's dream when growing up.

The door behind me slowly opened and in cane April. She gasped upon seeing me, almost dropping her small bouquet of (f/f) as she ran up to hug me.

"Oh, (Y/N)! You look so beautiful!" She exclaimed.

Giggling, I thanked her and returned my attention back to the mirror. Despite today being the day I have been anticipating for so long, I felt off. I had my dream wedding planned out with my dream guy waiting for me at the end of that aisle, but I couldn't help but feel like something was missing.

A knock at the door snapped me out of my thoughts, and I watched through the mirror as a blue cladded turtle stepped into the room. His eyes widened a fraction when he saw me, but he cleared his throat and closed the door behind him.

"Hey." He said.

I turned to face him and smiled. "Hey."

His eyes wandered to the floor and back up to my face, a light blush dusting his cheeks. "You look beautiful." He stammered, looking back down at the floor.

"Thank you."

An awkward silence filled the room before April excused herself and left us alone. Leo has been acting strange lately. It seemed like the closer we got to my wedding date, the more he'd grow distant towards me. I was probably just reading too much into things, so I didn't think too much of it.

"I never thought I'd see you in a tux." I teased.

His head shot up at my sudden remark before looking down on himself and smiling. "Yeah, it's a little tight, but I could deal with it for a couple hours."

I giggled at his comment. After another moment of silence, I decided to speak again.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine, but there's actually a reason why I wanted to see you before the wedding." He said. I watched as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small envelope. Handing it to me, I stared up at him in confusion, now noticing his sudden change in mood. He looked sad.

"There's something in there that I think you should know, but please don't read it until after the wedding. Promise?"

Playing with the small envelope in my hands, I nodded. "I promise."

Even though he now had a smile on his face, I could see something in his eyes. Something was eating away at him, and whatever was contained within this envelope was just that.

"I'll get going now." He said as he backed away towards the door.

"Goodbye, Leo." I said.

"Goodbye, (Y/N)." And with that, he left.

Making my way towards a small desk against the wall, I set down the envelope and stared at it. The envelope itself was very basic: white with my name written in blue ink. The only thing inside was obviously a letter considering it wasn't bulky whatsoever. Looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was coming in, I grabbed the letter and starting fiddling with the glued flap. I know I promised Leo, but my curiosity was getting the best of. He knew me too well to know I wouldn't be able to wait until after the wedding. I yanked the letter out of the envelope and unfolded as I sat down on a nearby chair.
