Scarlett's POV
It's been four weeks since we completed the mating ritual. Cole has been very busy with pack work as the number of rogues around our border has increased. Whilst I've spent most time going to school and helping out at the orphanage and the nursery.
It's 6 in the morning and I am just cuddled up next to Cole. His playing with a stand of my hair and telling me about the rising number of rouges. It's quite scary really because this is the largest population of rogues in one area for 38 years.
'So kitten, tonight do you wanna go out for dinner?'
'Yeah I'd love t...'
I pushed my self off the bed and ran towards the toilet. I felt myself hunch over and throw up. It was awful. I sat on the cold floor emptying my stomach of last nights pasta. Cole's hand rubbed my back and the other lift my hair up and out of the way.
'Scarlett. What's wrong? I'm calling the pack doctor.' Cole rushed out. He stood up and ran into the bedroom. Before I could protest I heard him talking to some guy on the phone. I can only assume he is the pack doctor. Once Cole finished he walked back in and began running the water to make me a bath.
'The doctor will be here in an hour kitten. Have a quick bath and get cleaned up. There's a towel on the rack.'
I slowly nodded my head and stripped myself of my clothes then clambered into the bath. I let the warm water relax my muscles.
After sitting in the bath for 20 minutes I decided to get out and dry myself off. Then I brushed my teeth and hair. Once I had done all of that I walked out of the bathroom and got dressed.
There was a light knock at the door and in walked Cole. Followed by an older man with brown hair. You could see the grey strands appearing and the odd wrinkle on his face.
'Hello Luna. How are you feeling?' He asked whilst rummaging through his medical bag.
' I'm feeling much better. Just a little stomach ache.'
The doctor nodded and pulled out a pregnancy test. He handed it to me and told me how to use it.
After I waited what seemed like an eternity the alarm on my phone went off. I pushed my self up from the bed and picked up the test. After looking at it for a few seconds. Then looking at the box it showed me a result.
I slowly walked into the living room where the doctor and Cole were talking about different bits and bobs.
'I'm done.' Cole's eyes snapped towards me and I could see the excitement in them.
I lifted the pregnancy test up and smiled. 'We're pregnant!'
The smile on Cole's face and the doctors was one to take a picture of. Before I knew it I was engulfed in a hug. That was when I knew. This is the life I want.
Now I need to tell my mum. Even though she has forgiven Cole for the death of her mate. I'm not sure how she will react.
I got in the car with Cole by my side. He gave my hand a reassuring squeeze as we drove towards my old house.
'MUM' I called her name as I walked through the front door. I heard her running down the stairs as she wrapped her arms around my neck.
'Hey baby, why are you here? Are you in trouble' I watched as she began looking over my for injuries.
'Mum I'm fine. Really. But me and Cole have some exciting news.'
I grabbed Cole's hand and lead him towards the living room where we sat down on the sofa and mum sat in the armchair.
'Okay. Mum don't freak out. But... WE'RE PREGNANT!'
My mum jumped to her feet and tackled myself and Cole in a bone breaking hug.
'M-mum I... I can't br-breathe' I chocked out. Her gripped loosened and I could see the tears in her eyes.
'I'm so proud of you baby.' She turned to Cole and pinched his cheeks slightly.
'And you too. I'm sorry for ever blaming you for my mates death.'
'It's ok ms Michaels.' Cole said with a smile.
'Oh please, call me Mandy.' My mum slapped his arm playfully and pulled us both into a hug.
After we said goodbye to my crazy mum we went home.
