The only other time I can ever remember going to sleep next to Drew was the summer I was eight and the guys were eleven. They'd decided to go camping in the backyard that night and as usual, I begged them to let me go with them. After they said no of course, I'd told my mom on them and they were forced to ring me along on their quest in the backyard. It got chilly that night and even though I longed for more cover, I decided it was best not to say anything. The last thing I needed was for the guys to say I complained too much so I fell asleep in the tent as they played cards leaving me out once again.

Hours later, I woke up to find that I was alone in the tent. I looked outside and saw that it was pitch black outside. I was immediately scared and freaked out. I mean I WAS only eight."Joseph, Drew?" I whispered into the night. Nobody said anything so I climbed out of the tent and looked around. Our backyard was huge not to mention the mini forest behind it. I was thinking about going into the house but I did want them to come back and call me a chicken so I just stood there for a minute. Out of nowhere the two of them jumped from behind the tree and yelled,

"BOO!" I yelped and started crying as they laughed like loons."what a baby!" Joseph said making me cry harder.

"Chill Jo she's crying..." Drew says coming to my rescue."We were just kidding Sky," he assures me yet somehow i still can't stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks. Joseph stops laughing and asks me,"Do you wanna go inside?" I shake my head because I knew that's what he wanted me to do and I wasn't going to give him that satisfaction.

"Let's just go to sleep...." Drew pitches in. Joseph nods his head and climbs into the tent. I just stand there."C'mon Sky," Drew says."I promise there won't be any jokes. You can sleep next to me if you don't believe me." For some reason he didn't even need to say that because I already believed him which was weird because he was one of Joseph's friends. I climbed inside the tent scooting my sleeping bag as close to Drew as possible and as far away from Joseph as possible. I got inside my sleeping bag and closed my eyes snuggling close to Drew before drifting off to sleep. And just as Drew had promised, there weren't any jokes...
