"There he is." my brother said starting the car again and pulling out of the parking space we'd been waiting in for the past 10 minutes. He pulled up into the front of the airport and I saw Drew only it wasn't him. He was much taller; about 6'2 and his hair had grown longer and he was far more muscular. Joseph stopped the car and got out.
"Drew, my man!" Joseph said happily. I watched as Joseph and Drew did their old manshake and embraced in a very unmanly hug before Joseph helped Drew put his things in the trunk. Joseph tapped my window and snapped his fingers.
" Get in the back." he ordered. And just like that it was back to the old days when Joseph treated Drew more like family than he did me. I held my breath as I got out of the car and walked past Drew to the back door. I had no idea how his facial expression looked because I wouldn't look him in the eye.

We all got in the car and then Joseph pulled off. It was going to be a long ride home, i thought to myself.
"So how have things been in Arizona?" Joseph asked as he got on the highway. I craned my neck so that I'd be able to see Drew's face as he spoke through the rear view mirror.

"Man, I don't even wanna talk about it." Drew said and I could tell from the look on his face that it was a sore subject.

"Ok I understand." Joseph said even though I was sure he didn't.

"You still dating Jessica?" Drew asked after the long period of silence. He still hadn't acknowledge me or even said hi and surprisingly Joseph hadn't notice. Joseph shrugged.

"I don't know. I'm thinking about ending it with her. We've been going out for a while now anyway. Maybe it's time. I'm eighteen now, I don't wanna be tied down with the same girl." he replied. Drew shook his head.

"You should stay with her Jo. She's a good girl and she's hot." Drew reasoned. I smiled. It was one of the many reasons I loved him. He was a good guy and he always had a way of getting my brother to do the right thing. Joseph laughed.
"Why do I even hang out with you? You're a wimp. Always all about doing the right thing." He shook his head before reaching over and turning on the radio.
"Drew, Sky remember this song?" he asked before pushing play and turning up the volume on the Green Day song 'American Idiot'.

Three years ago when I was twelve and the guys were fifteen, Joseph had a girlfriend named America (she was half puerto rican and named after America Ferrera) and after he got drunk one night he said some things about her and since then it had always been an inside joke with the three of us. I can still remember the night it happened.
