I still remember the day we went to the carnival together...

She encouraged me to ditch our dates and cause a little game of hide and seek. I cautiously followed her lead and eventually started laughing along with her.

She made a turn and there we were, standing in front of the ferris wheel, knowing the boys were on our tails. She somehow convinced the operator to let us on.

That Ella sure was convincing.

As we were heading up, the boys spotted us and started yelling "No fair!" and "Come down here, you're cheating!". But as witty as she was, Ella yelled back with a smirk on her face "Never said rides were off limits!". She held up her fist, signaling a fist bumb but I was too distracted to fist bumb back.

There was a person on the ground staring up at the ferris wheel and I swore I made eye contact with him. I shrugged at her and gave her the fist bumb she was looking for.

Now I wonder if I was or wasn't imagining that dude because I recognize him.

Drew Weston. A family friend and not someone you would want to be looking at you.

He is also very convincing.
