Chapter 13 Open Door

"You sure you don't wanna sleep with me tonight?" Hiccup asks rubbing my arms.

"Yes, I am 101% sure"

"Alright, whatever makes you happy Astrid" He says before kissing me gently.

"Goodnight" I smiled after we pulled away.

"Goodnight, sweet dreams" He smiles before I walk inside the door and leaned against it.

I slid down the door, staring at my ring.

This is really happening huh? I can't believe it. I smiled at myself and heard something heavy rest on my roof.

I then heard a growl.

"Oh, night girl!" I yelled. It was just Stormfly. She roared in response. I then plopped on the bed and drifted off to sweet dreams, just like what Hiccup said.

I heard knocks on the door. Ugh I don't wanna get up.

I heard the knocks again.

"What?!" I yelled.

"It's me!" I heard that too-familiar voice.

"Get away!" I groaned and rolled on my tummy, placing my head under my pillow.

"Oh come on Astrid, it's meeeee. Hiccup" I heard him say.

"IT'S 7 AM WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE"

"It's 10"

"DON'T CARE" I yelled.

"Babe don't make me do this" He says.

I ignored him. I then suddenly heard my door open, footsteps come closer and jump on my bed.

"What in Odin's name are you doing?!" I hissed at the boy who jumped up and down.

"Waking you up!" He smiles wide.

"If this is how I'm going to be waken up in the morning, I'm moving out of Berk"

Hiccup stopped and straddled me, his legs each on either side of my waist.

"Get off me before I kick you where the sun doesn't shine"

He smirked and brought his 10 fingers up, wiggling them.

"Oh no no Hiccup, I'm really going to kick you-AHHHHHHH" I was interrupted by the rapid tickling of Hiccup's fingers on my waist. I tried to roll away but his legs held me in place.

"HICCCCUPP HADDOCK YOU AREE SO GETTING YOUUUR BUTT KIIICKED" I said in between laughs.

"It would be an honor to get my butt kicked by you" He says before stopping.

I breathed heavily.

He smiled and leaned down to kiss me. I smiled through the kiss and I tangled my fingers in his hair.

"Uhh guys the door's open" We heard a voice and I accidentally pushed Hiccup off the bed.

I widened my eyes at Snotlout at the door.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" I asked him.

Hiccup groaned and climbed back on the bed, I helped him up.

"Sorry babe" I said kissing his cheek.

"I just wanted to see if Astrid would want to join the dragon race but saw you guys doing.... Whatever you did 30 seconds ago" He says cringing at the thought.

"Sure, NOW GO AWAY" I say. Snotlout hurriedly disappeared after closing my door. I glared at Hiccup.

"What?" He asks.

"You didn't close the door?!" I punched his shoulder.

"I'm sorry" He says biting his lip.

"Ugh, just stop biting your lip" I say getting and putting my armor on.

"Why?" He asks smirking.

"Because you're distracting okay?!" I answered.

He chuckles and goes up to me, pulling me closer by my waist.

"You're distracting too you know?" He says.

"What do I do that's SOOO distracting Haddock?" I ask as he leans his forehead against mine.

"Everything" he says.

I smile and he smiles too, showing his teeth.

"HAH! I beat Hiccup!" I cheered.

"Unbelievable" Hiccup says shaking his head impressed.

"Well you better believe it" I wink.

"Ugh why can't he just admit he let Astrid win?" Snotlout groaned.

"Oh, no wonder" I wiped the smile off my face.

"You idiot! You weren't supposed to tell her that!" Hiccup tackled Snotlout on the ground and they started wrestling.

"How sweet of him to do that, it disgusts me" Ruffnut says.

"You're disgusting" Tuffnut says to her.

"Shut up"

"You shut up!" Tuff says.

"Guys both of you are disgusting okay? I mean, you guys are twins!" Fishlegs say.

"He's got a point" I say.

I then heard something from the distance. I looked somewhere at the horizon, hearing the distant roar again

"SHHH!" I said to the others who were making a whole lot of noise.

They then widened their eyes when they heard the roar again.

"You heard that?" I ask them.

They all nodded in response.

What is that?
