Chapter 11: Stunning
Sage's POV
"Files?" I questioned.
"Check," he confirmed.
"Pens?" I asked.
"Yes," he answered. "You?"
"Huh?" I chuckled.
"Come with me," he offered.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Would you rather be alone in your office?" he smirked.
"No," I shook my head. "Let me grab my things."
I rushed to my office and picked up my notepad, some pens and my reading glasses. I placed them neatly in my purse and grabbed my working phone.
It was a good thing I brought my heels in my bag, as the heels made my outfit look more professional. It was also a good thing I didn't wear bright colors today, as that also made me look more professional.
I walked to Nick's office, and he grabbed his keys before we entered the elevator.
I pressed the button on the elevator and waited for our stop on the 7th floor to come.
Our office was on the 11th.
"Room 737," I told Nick while pointing straight ahead.
We entered the room and sat down. We were ten minutes early, so no one was here as yet.
I swooped my hair into a low-back ponytail and cleaned my glasses before putting it on. I then took out a pen and my notepad and tested the pen to make sure it worked. I took out another to be safe. I then checked my working phone for any notifications. I had already placed the phone on silent, so I didn't have to worry about it going off during the meeting.
"You wear glasses?" Nick asked with an amused face.
"Only to read," I nodded. "Why?"
"Nothing, nerd," he teased, and I rolled my eyes in response.
