Plus... I would be naked and no thank you.
Instead, he shifted into a beautiful copper wolf. He was a big wolf, much bigger than mine. His clothes tore off but he didn't seem to care. All he had on anyways was a pair of brown cargo shorts.
He steadily walked to me and when he was within distance, my wolf rubbed against him, nuzzling into his fur.
He nuzzled back, licking my cheek every so often.
I stopped and mentally smirked. I barked and he yipped back.
This was it. I darted away, headed towards the lake. There was a little cliff right there that you could jump off of and swim to a tiny little alcove under it.
He chased me, barking and playfully growling.
I was quicker then him, faster by a long shot.
I sped up and when I hit the tree line I jumped, falling and falling until cold water enveloped my wolf.
She doggy paddled to the sand, laying down with a huff as another wolf landed after us.
Water slashed up on onto the sand and my wolf shook her fur out, the water spraying everywhere.
He walked onto the alcove and did the same, coming up to me and licking my head. He walked around me, inspecting me.
The fall wasn't very high, only like fifteen feet. I think human humans could survive that.
The alcove ceiling was seven feet up. It was almost perfectly symmetrical, seven feet wide and long. Of course, those were estimates. Probably very bad ones.
He rubbed under my neck, and I closed my eyes, accepting the pure bliss I got when he touched me.
There were always two types of meeting your mate. Hot, jolting, electricity or calm, blissful, harmony. I always wanted the electricity and sparks but now that I had complete serenity I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Every time his wolf touched mine, the world was a better place, everything was peace and content. I felt like I was on Cloud Nine, not ready to land any time soon.
I reluctantly pulled away and moved a log with my head, revealing a stack of clothes.
My head rang and I opened it up, knowing it was him trying to talk to me.
We should shift.
It was only three words and yet they made me mold into a puddle of feelings.
Instead of answering him through the bond we had established, I wanted him to hear my real voice from me before some mind-linked version, I picked up the clothes and set them at his feet.
This was my doing. I was the only one who came down to this alcove, so I left extra clothes here.
As a respectful guy should do, I'll shift first and you can look away.
My wolf nodded. Good. I didn't have to shift first and have him see me as a wolf. I wanted to see his reaction when he was a human. I turned around and watched the lake as he shifted and changed behind me.
"Okay, you're good." He said softly, his voice like angels. I wanted to keep it in a bottle and open it when I needed good thoughts.
I grabbed the clothes and waited for him to turn around. When his wolf did, I took the leap of faith and shifted back, putting on the clothes.
It was an old band T-Shirt from my dad and a pair of leggings. So that's where this outfit went.
"You're umm... you're good." I said, much quieter than I normally spoke.
