Chapter 26: "Perfect"

"Now here is our only soloist in this show. This is one performance someone in particular has been waiting for. Please welcome, Johnny!" Buster announced.

The crowd cheered as he walked on the stage and retrieved the microphone. He didn't see his dad in the audience.

"Thank you. Now before I start, I want to say that this is dedicated to my beautiful girlfriend, Jamie. If she could come out here please," Johnny requested as he held his hand out to her.

Both Jamie and Brooke were confused. Jamie was happy-confused while Brooke was angry-confused. Jamie walked out on the stage and accepted his hand as the crowd applauded.

"As soon as I first heard this song, I knew this was the one I wanted to sing. Jamie, this is for you," Johnny told her and the audience awed.

Jamie smiled as he got her to sit beside him on the piano bench. Then a screen came down and he began playing. As he sang, the screen would come on of him doing other things for the song.

The whole time, Jamie was crying and smiling. As the audience cheered at the end, Johnny caressed her cheeks, gently wiping her tears away, and smiled. They kissed, which made the crowd cheer even louder. Buster then came on, wiping some of his own tears.

"Johnny, everyone!" Buster sobbed as Johnny got up and took a bow, then Buster commented, "We can't get enough of these two lovebirds."

The audience laughed and cheered as Johnny and Jamie walked off the stage hand in hand. Big Daddy had the biggest smile on his face from seeing the performance.

Brooke came up to them angrily.

"I don't get it! You two broke up! How can you still be together?" she demanded.

"Because we never broke up," Jamie answered.

"And I know we would never do that to each other," Johnny added.

"Incredible! You would rather be with this sorry excuse for a gorilla than me!" Brooke exclaimed.

"Well, she has been more like family than you will ever be. She is the most beautiful gorilla and the best thing to have ever happened to me and you are not going to destroy what we have," Johnny told her.

Brooke was speechless at this point. Johnny just told her off, making everyone backstage applaud him.

Brooke looked at Jamie angrily and said, "We settle this now."

"Yes, we will," Jamie remarked.
