INTRODUCTION , lead or newspeg
1. The introduction is the first paragraph which is composed of the statement and basis of the issue.
2. After stating the issue, the writer needs to express his/her position or stand on the issue.
3. PATTERN
"Newspeg + Issue + Reaction" or "Issue + Newspeg + Reaction"
(P.S. Kahit baliktarin niyo yung tatlo basta ang importante nandoon iyon sa lead. Halimbawa, Nakababahala(Reaction) Populasyon(Newspeg) Pagpapagawa ng bahay(Issue) kayo na po bahalang mag construct gamit ang mga yan 'one sentence in one paragraph'
4. The news peg should contain the news article or the topic tackled, and the general stand of the writer.
5. It must contain 'sparks' to urge the readers to read the whole article.

•Dapat maganda ang sulat
•Palaging tingnan ang mga spelling at words na rin
•Walang erasures
•Dapat may paninindigan at nandoon na yung stand ng writer.
•May dating at dapat maakit na ang mga mambabasa kapag nabasa nila ang intro mo.
