Payton's P.O.V

"change your mind yet?" he says after I pull away. I nod and put my head on his chest.

"good. Now want to eat pizza and watch some more of the 100" he looks down at me.

"sure" I smile

"this isn't the date I was planning. But, I still want to take you on that. how about this weekend?" he says handing me a paper plate.

"yes. I'd like that" I take the plate. He picks up his phone

"what does this fool want" he groans and answers the phone, which was ringing

"hello? Yes, Aaron everything fine" he rolls his eyes. I chuckle and grab a piece of pizza and put it on his plate. He smiles at me and kisses my forehead.

"Aaron, I got to go. I don't know. No, I don't need any condoms" he laughs. I feel my face start to get red so I face away from him.

"bye Aaron" I hear him say before arms wrap around my waist.

"why'd you turn around" he says.

"no reason" I smile.

"whatever you say" he says. I grab a piece of pizza and turn to face him

"I'm glad you and Olivia are friends now. Not trying to get on this subject again. But she looked like she was ready to beat Hailie's ass" he chuckles. I smile and nod

"yeah, she overheard Hailie in the hallway. But how did you know Olivia was in the bathroom. When everything happened" I ask him.

"Hailie and Olivia are both in my 4th period" he mumbles. I groan and rub my head

"everyone is going to want to beat my ass tomorrow now" I groan

"no. well maybe. But I can promise you if someone comes at you, I'll be there. I'll even walk you to every class if you want me to" he nods

"I'll be fine. I hope. why don't you invite Aaron and Olivia over? It's not like this is a date. And honestly. I want my last night to be rememberable" He rolls his eyes and nods

"this isn't your last night. And sure. Ill invite them" he grabs his phone. I set my plate down and run upstairs, I close the door behind me. I quickly change my sweatshirt and run back downstairs

"okay. They're r on their way, and their getting some scary movies. So. That's what we're watching. Let's save the 100 for a night were by ourselves so we don't have to keep on explaining things to them" he smiles walking up to me. I nod and step back some.

"what's wrong. Did I do something?" he says.

"no. I'm just not used to all this. Having friends, and stuff... can we slow it down? Just a little bit, until I get used to it" I mumble.

"of course. I don't care how long it takes. As long as in the end. I have you" he sits on the couch

"oh, and I should probably warn you. I hate scary movies. So, if I die. I'm going to come back and haunt you" I sit next to him

"don't worry. If you feel the need to die. I'm right here to talk you out it" he chuckles. We sit and talk for another 10 minutes before I hear slight knocking at the door.

"go open the door. I don't feel like getting up" he says. I groan and stand up. I walk over to the door and open it.

"hey girl" Aaron says in this really white girl voice.

"hey Aaron, hey Olivia, welcome to my boring ass house" I smile and open the door more so they're able to come in.

"hey, so we got all the insidious movies, 1-4. And I know we won't watch them all, but I got them all" Olivia says. I fake a smile and nod

"great. I'm so ready to piss myself over and over again" I mumble. I lead them into the living room where Shawn was laying on the couch.

"hey dude. Wake your ass up" Aaron says. hitting him in the face

"dude my eyes are open" he says. I smile before going into the kitchen and grabbing the pizza boxes and candy.

"here is all the food" I set it on the coffee table

"lit. I don't know how to work the tv, so here" Aaron says handing me the first insidious movie. Walk over to the tv and put it in. I turn it on and sit back down next to Shawn

"you guys can't make fun of me. I've never seen any of these" I mumble. Oliva looks at me with a piece of pizza sticking out of her mouth

"your fucking lying" Aaron says.

"what would I be lying about" I ask.

"you have never seen any of the insidious movies?" Shawn says next to me. I shake my head

"nope. Is that a bad thing" I ask.

"not at all. Just good luck, now Aaron shut your ugly ass up. its starting" Olivia says to Aaron who was talking to Shawn

"bitch. You just jelly" he says flipping his imaginary hair.

"both of you shut up. god so fucking annoying" Shawn rolls his eyes.

"excuse me. don't talk to my friends like that" I say glaring at Shawn. I hear Aaron chuckle

"dude. Better listen to your girl, she's kind of scary" Olivia says. I scoff and shake my head.

"seriously its starting. So shut up" Aaron says. we all stay silent. Every time there's a jump scare. I lean into Shawn more.

"do you need me to turn it off?" he whispers

"no no. I'm okay. I swear" I shakily say. I look down at Olivia and Aaron to see them passed out cuddling.

"I like how they got all 4 movies but can't even stay awake for one" I whisper to Shawn. He looks at them and smile

"true. I can wake them up and drive them home" he goes to stand up

"don't worry about it. they can sleep here. I don't mind" I smile. He smiles back at me

"well. Are you tired. I can go home" he says. I shake my head

"no please don't go home. sleep here. I don't want to be alone tonight" I mumble.

"okay okay. I won't leave" he leans back. I lean my head on his shoulder.

"Payton. I know you said you wanted to take things slow. But I need you to know that I am so happy to be here. in this moment with you" he mumbles kissing my forehead. I blush and nod

"me too. Thank you, Shawn," I whisper

"for what?" I feel him tense under me

"for being there. When I needed you" I lean my head on his shoulder.

"of course. Now. Shush. Go to sleep. We still have school tomorrow" he slightly wraps his arm around my waist. I quietly groan and nod. Even though Shawn can't see me. after a while. My eyes start to get heavy. And I drift off into a deep sleep.

I know these chapters are getting boring. I don't exactly know what to do. but I swear the next couple of chapters will be eventful. to spice it up some. 🌶
