"Payton get your ass down here" I hear my father yell from downstairs. I stop what I'm doing immediately and run downstairs.
"yes?" I mumble. If all these years with my father has taught me anything it's been to never look him in the eye.
"go get me a beer" he says. I don't say anything but turn to walk away
"hey I wasn't done" he yells. I flinch at the sudden anger in his voice and turn around
"I...I...I'm sorry" I stutter. He absolutely hates it when I stutter.
"learn how to fucking speak. What I was trying to tell you was, go get me a beer and when you come back. Let's have a little fun" he says grabbing my face, pushing me down onto the ground. I scoot away and nod
"ye...yes sir" I say standing up quickly. Running to the garage and opening the fridge, I grab the last beer and walk back into the house. I lean against the wall, the beer pressed to my chest, mentally preparing myself for the beating that's soon to happen. I hear my father sigh and the couch creek, meaning he's standing up. I walk into the doorway of the living room and hold out the beer
"here you go" I say. he takes it and opens it. taking a huge gulp, I step back, making him smirk,
"you scared? You should be used to this by now" he says chucking. I continue to walk backwards before my back hits the hard wall, he grabs me and pushes me to the ground. I hit the floor with a loud thud
"you know, I wish you were never born. Maybe if you weren't. your mother would still be alive. You are the reason she is dead. And you're going to pay for it" he says walking up to me. forcing my hands above my head.
"now hold still" he smirks. I can smell the alcohol in his breath. He slaps me, making me gasp, tears pouring out of my eyes.
"stop crying bitch. You deserve this" he says slapping me once more. He continues to kick, slap, and punch me until I assume the alcohol wears off, then he stands up. grabs his beer. And walks off. Leaving me, gasping for air. Laying in my own puddle of blood.
