The latest mistake consisted of anger at someone who deserved it
but telling someone who believed they deserved it
and not believing enough in the integrity of the wrong person
not giving a second chance
testing out love to its limits
angry tears
the feeling of a heart being ripped from its chest
abruptly saying goodbye
before anything's begun
leaving one to wonder if they should hide their love
more angry tears streaming to flood a pillow soaked one too many times
not saying I love you back to the one person it's ever applied to
not saying goodnight
pulling the emotional trigger of spiraling demons for someone long lost
screaming silently at the stars
knowing only the void listens
for nothing matters
clenched fists to hold on to something, anything, but the pain
the wish of reconciliation, but the resignation to the fate of being forever alone
eyes still crying but having run out of tears
the wonder of if he'll still love after the latest mistake
