"wow, it looks amazing. i'm surprised how well i can paint."

"what about that spot?" donghyuck laughed.

it was the spot where paint was splattered everywhere, where they shared their first kiss.

"perfect."

they were both unsure of their relationship. nothing was set. it wasn't established because either one of them didn't say anything.

they were both afraid of rejection or unrequited love.

uncertainty is the biggest torture in love,

donghyuck went up to the wall and grabbed a permanent marker.

after searching for what he wanted, he wrote his initials l.dh.

"why did you put it there?" mark asked.

"because, m41 symbolises me and you are sirius."

he nodded uncertain of donghyuck's words.

in his eyes, donghyuck was the sun. (ahem, full sun)

he shined so bright that everyone could see him all day. at night, he was still there, just on the other side so everyone could love him. he gave them warmth and a light to guide people. donghyuck was too dangerous if you were too close. he would swallow you whole and you would be a part of him.

mark wanted to be a part of donghyuck's world.

"mark lee! long time no see!" lucas screamed pulling him in a hug.

"we saw each other a week ago?" mark rolled his eyes as he pushed lucas away.

lucas was the popular kid. he had the stance and aura people loved to be around. some found him weird and absurd. his humour was an acquired taste.

"a week too long! so, how have you been?" lucas questioned.

"terrible. i really like this guy but i can't seem to ask him to be my boyfriend."

lucas squealed while jumping around.

it was weird to see a guy with such a deep heavy voice going up three octaves screaming.

"my man! you go for it!" lucas fist bumped with mark.

"shouldn't have asked for advice," mark grumbled.

"anyways, i have basketball practice with jaehyunnie hyung. see you round!"

mark didn't know what to do. he was planning to ask him out when they were painting.

his nerves got the better of him.

donghyuck and mark held hands to school, hugged each other, played with each other and everything else that a couple would look like.

apart from the fact they weren't a couple.

"i wish i could wake up everyday and the first thing i would see is you," mark smiled staring into donghyuck's eyes.

they laid in the single sized bed engrossed in their own world.

bodies latched onto one another so they wouldn't fall,

back into reality.

heartbeats that moulded into one.

"you're so cheesy."

"only for you."

"what are we, mark hyung?"

and all because of one sentence, they snapped back into reality.
