"The Jerk" Has A Crush

Junior was sleeping in his room. He had been dreaming about Steph.

It was one in the afternoon, Steven came and woke him up.

"Sup bro!"

"Dude I was asleep. What's up?" I said, half sleepy.

"Not much I was with Kim awhile ago."

"Cool."

"Who's is that baby?"

"It's mine and Steph's. It's for that stupid parenting class."

"Ok."

Steven grabs Joshy and throws him like a football.

"Hey! Don't throw Joshy!" Junior said, yanking the baby out of his hands.

"Joshy?"

"Actually Steph named it Josh. But I call it Joshy."

"Ok." Steven said, smirking.

"What?"

"Oh nothing."

"Tell me."

"Nothing."

"Ok, I like Steph alright!"

"I knew it bro!"

"Yeah, I do like her alright. You better not tell nobody or I'll kick your ass. I don't care if you're my bro."

"I won't. You can trust me bro."

"Ok. I trust you."

"I can't believe you like Steph."

"I can't believe it either."

"What happened yesterday?"

"I went to her house. She introduced me to her parents. Her brother is pretty cool. We were in her other living room and I kissed her. Since yesterday, I can't stop thinking about her."

"Oh shit! You're crazy about her."

"Shut up bro!"

"I can't believe it! Finally my bro Junior Perez is crazy about a girl!"

"Shocker right?"

"Yeah."

"Don't tell anyone."

I woke up. I realized that it was Saturday. I texted Caro to see if she wanted to hang out. She told me that Ricky Rantzen is at her house working on their parenting thing. She couldn't hang out today.

Then, I texted Kim. She was with Steven.

I was going to go back to sleep until Junior calls me.

"Hello?"

"Hey Steph, it's me."

"Oh hey, What's up?"

"Not much you want me to come over later?"

"I don't know. why?"

"Because we need to work on our assignment."

"Oh yeah I forgot!"

"I'll be there in an hour or two. Is that okay?"

"Yeah. It's fine."

"See you then."

"Bye."

I've never thought he would be so nice to me all of a sudden. Just yesterday he kissed me and he apologized to me. Can you believe it? "The Jerk" apologized to me.

He's never been polite ever since the first time I saw him in school. But he did. He's always been "The Jerk". He's not calling me nerd anymore.

He's never called me by my name before. I'm shocked.

Now, he's calling me Steph now. He sounds so cute when he says my name.
