Patient Zero opened his eyes to see a hospital room. All he saw was Red and Black. It was like Hell. Zero stumbled out of the bed that he was in and staggered around the room. Black liquid leaked from the ceiling as he heard whispers. Whispers became speaking. Speaking became screaming. 

Zero wasn't even able to leave the room. He held his hands over his ears as he collapsed on the ground.

"Leave me alone. Leave me alone. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

Zero gasped for breath as the shouts in his head vanished. 

Zero looked up to see a sight much more terrifying than the voices. 

"No... It's you..."

"Yes, child." 

It was her.

"I don't want you here... Leave me alone..." 

"Of course, child... I'll speak to you soon..."

Zero opened his eyes and shot up in the hospital bed. His eyes darted around to see a normal-looking hospital room. No ooze. No voices. 

A red and black haired girl was startled at his awakening. 

"Uh... Nurse! Nurse! Over here!"

The nurse rushed over to Zero, who was freaking out so much that his vitals began to spike. 

"Sir! Sir! You need to calm down!", Pleaded the Nurse. 

Zero opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He touched his throat, confused and scared. He couldn't speak. This new revelation only made him panic more. 

"Ruby! Please get Professor Ozpin!", yelled the nurse. 

"Got it!"

The nurse put a needle in Zero's body which made him stabilize a bit.  

Ruby burst into the infirmary with Professor Ozpin. 

"I'm here. What's his condition?", asked Opzin 

"He-He just woke up and started freaking out! His heart rate and blood pressure spiked up in an instant!", said the nurse while pacing around the room.

Zero continued to look around the room and the people in front of him with a look of fear in his eyes. 

"It's okay. Calm down. You're safe here." 

Ozpin placed his hand on Zero's shoulder and he seemed to magically calm down. 

Ozpin looked at Zero's information papers.

"So, they call you Patient Zero?" 

Zero nodded.

"Can you speak?" 

Zero shook his head. 

"Can you really speak?"

He nodded his head. 

"Miss Ruby Rose, would you mind taking Mr... Zero here and show him around the school?", asked Ozpin.

"Of course!"

Zero slowly began to get out of bed. 

"Wait!" said the nurse, "We don't know if he's stable yet!" 

"Don't worry." said Ozpin in a calm voice, "He'll be fine."

Zero got up on two feet but stumbled around for a bit.

"I got you!" said Ruby as she held on to his arm, "Let's go!"

Ozpin stared out from his tower as he took a sip from his drink. 

"How is he?" asked Glynda.

"It's worse than we thought. I do have good news though. She has to come to us to get him"

"And that's the CCT tower! Isn't it big?!" 

Zero only nodded. He didn't speak. 

"This place really is great, isn't it? There are so many cool weapons here? Do you have a weapon?" 

Zero nodded. 

"You... can't really speak, can you?" asked Ruby. 

Zero shook his head. 

"I'm sorry." 

3 more girls walked up behind Ruby and greeted her. 

"Hey, sis! Who's the dude?"

"Hey, who's that? His clothes have holes in them..." 

"He doesn't look all too healthy." 

Ruby turned Zero around to see girls with yellow, white, and black hair respectively. 

"This is Team RWBY!" said Ruby, "This is Yang, Weiss, and Blake." 

Zero looked at Blake for a little bit. 

"What's your name?" said Yang.

Zero shook his head. 

"Right." said Ruby, "He can't really... talk. His name is Zero." 

"Zero?" said Weiss. A slight sneer appeared on her face as she looked at him.

"Leave him alone, Weiss," said Blake in a calm voice. 

"Whatever." 

"Would you like to eat something?" asked Blake.

Zero nodded. 

"Yes! I can go for some lunch!" said Yang. 

Zero bit down on one of his fingers as his body began to shake. 

"...nt... go..."
