After I was half way through the episode, I heard a door open. I saw Yuri approaching the couch I was sitting at with her book in her hand.

"Hey Danny."

"Oh hey, Yuri. What's up?"

She smiled. "I just wanted to check up on you. What are you doing?"

"I'm just watching tv right now. You wanna watch with me?"

"Sure!"

She sat on the space next to me. As we watched the show for a bit, Yuri started to ask some questions about it.

"So, what exactly is he crossing off?"

"Oh, those are the bad things he did before he discovered karma. He finds the people he did wrong to and makes up for what he did. Once he does, he crosses the person off their list."

"That actually sounds like an interesting concept."

"Yeah, I agree. But sadly, the last episode ends on a cliff hanger. They never finished it. I still watching the episodes that are there, though. I actually bought some of the DVD's since they removed it from Netflix."

"So he never finishes the list?"

"Nope. But apparently, the creator of the shows wanted to make an ending where Earl sees people around him doing good things, making him believe that he's made up for his checkered past. He then tears up his list and lives the rest of his life as the good Earl he's become."

Of course, that was just something I read online, I didn't know how true it was.

"It's a pretty good show, though. You should check it out."

"Maybe sometime we can watch it together."

"Yeah."

She opened her book and read while I watched TV. After another episode, I turned the TV off went to the guest room to lie down. Yuri followed and sat on the bed next to me.

"You feel tired," she gently asked.

"Ah well, not necessarily. Or maybe, I don't know. I just feel like resting."

I felt mentally tired. Even though I was sure my body had a lot of energy, my mind didn't really feel like going on. I actually felt the sleepiness coming over me as I lied on the bed.

I closed my eyes and allowed myself to fall asleep.

Until my phone rang, that is. I took it out of my pocket and saw that Keith was calling me. I wonder what for. I answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Danny, what are you doing?"

"Uh, not much. What's up?"

"Shit... I need your help."

I sat up on the bed. "What's up? Is everything okay?"

"I don't know. I've been trying to call Odin for the past few days, but heading answered."

"Okay..."

"And well, I just thought he misplaced his phone or something. Until about a minute ago, I got a message from his phone."

"Oh so he answered you?"

"I don't think it was him that sent the message though."

"What did it say?"

"Hold on, let me read it to you. Okay, it says, 'I can't let him go, I can't. This isn't the end. I shouldn't be forgotten.'"

"He sent that to you? That's quite an odd message..."

"I know, right? I tried calling him after he sent it, but he didn't answer."

"Well I'm gonna go to his house and check on him. I don't know if you wanna meet me there."

"Yeah, I'll be there too."

"Alright, I'll see you in a bit then."

"See ya, buddy."

I hung up the phone and grabbed my pistol from the dresser, causing me to grab Yuri's attention.

"What are you doing," she asked.

"I think a friend of mine is in trouble. I'm gonna go and check on him. Stay here, okay? I'll be back in a bit."

"Well, uh, okay."

As I was heading out the the door, Yuri called to me again.

"Wait Danny."

"Yeah?"

"Could I go with you?"

"Ah damn, well... I really don't know what's going on at his house. I'd hate to put you in danger. I think it'd be best if you stay here."

"But I don't want you to face the danger alone. I think we should stick together."

I chuckled. "Don't worry about me, Yuri. I've face my fair share of danger and I already know how to deal with it."

"Okay... well promise me you'll be careful."

"Of course, Yuri. I promise."

We hugged before I left to my car. I patted myself down just to be sure I was ready. After I confirmed, I headed to Odin's house, ready to take on whatever was there.
