Joohyun shut her eyes, hoping she would wake up from this nightmare like she always did. But this time, it didn't work. It wasn't going away, this was reality. She hated it, she wanted to go back, this was a mistake. If only she knew.

Tears started to roll down her cheeks but they were useless, the tears wouldn't help her. Hyunjin wasn't having any sense of mercy in him, this was revenge. He wanted it, a justice for himself. She had empathy for him, for once she wanted to avenge her brother's death so badly. Joohyun was blinded by anger, she didn't even know that she was in love with his killer.

She shut her eyes tightly, her fingers secured on the trigger. Click! She was one step away from shooting, from murdering. Was she going to become what she hated? Will his death be her responsibility, her choice? Her hands were still shaking and her eyes never left Jisung's. She hated him so much, but still she had no heart to take his life.

Joohyun glanced at Hyunjin one last time who was crouching behind Jisung's back as he placed a knife closely to kill him incase she had a change of heart. There was no escape, it was his life or hers. Just like what Jisung told her before. She closed her eyes tight, she didn't want to see what monster she become when she killed him as she pulled the trigger.

"Don't hesitate, you should've seen how your brother pleaded for his life. Eliminate that killer." Hyunjin said, again his words were hypnotising her. Eliminate that killer.

And she did, she pulled the trigger.

Joohyun wanted to shoot again as she moved closer to Hyunjin's body lying on the floor from the shot. Unfortunately, it was only a single bullet. He was smart, he knew this would happen. As he said before, he was immune. Only it was a lie, it wasn't a silver bullet at all.

In the end, he wanted Jisung to die in his hands. He was just trying not to let Joohyun leave in peace after his death, he wanted her to believe she killed him. A sick bastard.

The male, although wounded, launched for her as he sent her down on the floor and grabbed the knife close to him, ready to slash her throat. Joohyun struggled in his grip, trying to free herself. To her surprise, Jisung grabbed onto Hyunjin and pulled him away from her, giving her time to get away from the male.

"Run!" Jisung yelled. Joohyun grabbed onto the gun again, forgetting it was now empty. She threw it away and grabbed on the nearest object to use as a weapon. Hyunjin was out to kill and she had to find a way to escape, not only herself but also Jisung. However, before she could make it to the door, Hyunjin grabbed onto her hair and pulled her down on the floor.

"You pathetic human!" He yelled as he strike to stab her only to have the sharp knife landed next to her instead. Joohyun's breath hitched, that strike could've hit her and she would've been dead now. "You are the pathetic one!" Joohyun was still so brave to spat. "Revenge isn't getting you anyway, you won't get her back." She said, trying to catch a breath as she was scared of what he might do next.

She tried pushing him away but it was a wrong move when he jerked back causing the knife to slash a little at her neck. Joohyun hissed in pain as Hyunjin pushed her against the floor again. Her head collided hard against the floor.

"You killed my brother just to get back to him! My mother was called crazy because she saw you! You're the beast here." Joohyun said as she watched him raising the knife. This time, she knew he wasn't going to miss on purpose, it would be her last breath. She closed her eyes, waiting for the impact but instead she felt a load off from her body. Hyunjin was thrown off by someone else.

Before she could even blink, she felt a pair of hands pulling her up as they held both of her hands behind her back, keeping her hostage. She saw some other males, unfamiliar faces but they all had the same eye colour.

It was a pack.

She almost panicked when she saw one of them approach Jisung, but at the looks of it he seemed to recognise them. The male released Jisung from the chains as he assisted him to stand. Of course he was weak, blood was gushing out of his thigh.

"We've been trying to locate you for so long, still a pathetic avenger aren't you?" One male said as they held firmly on Hyunjin. Joohyun wanted to call out for Jisung just to make sure he was alright but before she could even open her mouth, one of them males pointed a dagger to her throat.

"No, don't kill her. She saved me before." Another one said, he looked younger than the rest. As Joohyun caught sight of his eyes it was only then she realised it was slightly different from Jisung's and she had seen them before. In a dark alley, an injured, awfully large dog. Instantly, the male in front of her pulled the dagger away.

Unfortunately, the other guy was still holding on her as they didn't trust her that much. Joohyun was less bothered by that. She was even more concerned when she heard a loud groan coming from Jisung as his friend tried to bandage his injured leg. Sadly, to her eyes, he was doing it the wrong way.

"Let me help, I'm a medical student. Please." The last word sounded like a whisper, she felt her heart accelerating at the sight of Jisung. She felt sad to see him injured but the anger in her refused to let the tears slip out.

The male holding her released her from his grip as she quickly rushed to Jisung's side. She did everything she practised before. The procedure were more or less the same. She cut a part of his trousers so the wound was visible and started to wipe out the blood. Joohyun could feel that Jisung was staring at her, but she didn't want to look at him. She didn't want to look at those eyes and feel sorry.

There was no antiseptic so all that was left was for her to bandage it, the least they could do to stop the bleeding. She looked over at his friend who stayed beside her the whole time. As if he read her mind, he handed her a piece of cloth. It wasn't exactly clean, but it was what they needed at the time.

Joohyun wrapped the cloth around his thigh, she had to ensure it was tight or blood would start oozing out again. As she did, she could hear Jisung wince and it made her stop as she didn't want to hurt him. However, she pushed the empathy feeling away and continued bandaging him. She kept telling herself not to feel sorry for him.

"Thanks." Changbin said and Joohyun replied weakly with a smile. As she was about to stand, Jisung grabbed onto her hand. He wanted to thank her, she understood that but she wasn't exactly in the right emotion to listen to it. And so, she pulled her hand away from him without looking as she backed away for him and his friend to talk.

"—well, he's done for now." Changbin said, tilting his head at Hyunjin's direction. "What are you going to do with him?" Jisung asked, a part of him was guilty for Hyunjin became that way because of him. "I'm sure Chan has a fair plan for him." The other male grinned.

Joohyun couldn't hear the rest anymore as a young boy stood in front of her. His eyes were shinning, beautiful, just like the ones she saw before. Just when she wanted to point that out, he blinked his eyes back to dark brown. He stayed in front of her, grinning as if she was some trophy to him. It was adorable to be honest.

"I wanted to thank you for saving me that night." He said. Instantly, her mind travelled to that large dog again, she didn't know his human form was this cute. "Is your leg alright now?" She asked, glancing at his leg afterwards. The boy nodded his head and opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by another male.

"All right, let's leave." He ordered, as two of them went to each of Hyunjin's side, grabbing an arm as they dragged him out. Joohyun watched their leaving figures. One by one, until the only ones left were only her and Jisung.
