Ring~

She groaned and turned to the other side, wishing the clock would stop ringing. However, the sound was getting louder and more annoying, pulling her away from dreamland. She groaned louder as if it would scare the clock and shut it up.

The ringing continued and she was ready to slam it down off the table when it suddenly stopped. Finally, she thought. It was time to resume to her dreamland where prince charming was about to ask for her hand in marriage—

"Babe, wake up." A soft voice spoke next to her. She scrunched her nose, her eyebrows met. She hated the sound of that. She needed more sleep. The girl groaned again as she buried her face in the pillows.

"Hey, you're gonna be late for classes." He continued and placed a hand on her cheek. He wiped her face with his thumb, using the opportunity to stare at her for a while. "Get up, the professor is going to nag and give you more assignments." He said.

Her brows knitted again, even in her sleep she looked glowering. He chuckled, he knew how well she hated waking up especially when she had classes. "Can't I just get a five minute snooze?" She whimpered and moved closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled closer, to get her deservedly snooze.

"Kwon Joohyun, wake up or I'll burn your notes." He whispered lowly to her ears. At the mention of her dedicated, handwritten notes she shot her eyes open and pushed the guy off the bed.

"Ugh, I hate you so much." She growled and sat up on the bed. "Yeah, I love you too." The guy stood up from the floor and pecked her on the lips before saying, "Hurry up, I'll prepare breakfast."

After she got dressed up, she grabbed her bag and walked out of the room. Along the stairs, she made sure to tie her hair into a ponytail and fixed her see-through fringes. Joohyun double checked everything in her bag as she walked through the small living room, while looking for some of her missing items.

"Jisung, have you seen my pho—"

"It's on the table, charging." He answered from the kitchen. Joohyun walked over to a small sized table in front of their television where they normally put their popcorns on movie nights. "Thanks, what are you cooking?" She asked as she entered the kitchen. Keys in her left hand, as she was ready to head out any moment.

"Something simple." Jisung said and served scrambled eggs on the table as both of them started munching down the food together. Joohyun glanced at her phone to look at the time, luckily she wasn't going to be late today.

"Are you working today?" She asked. Jisung, who was busy with his phone looked up and met her eyes. "Yeah, there's a wedding at the City Hall this afternoon." Jisung said and flashed her a smile. The girl smiled back and finished her breakfast.

She turned over from the sink and towards the table, "Well, take awesome pictures." She said and hugged him. "And you, focus in class." He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. As they parted, Joohyun made sure to close the door behind her. "Oh, and don't you dare flirt with the girls there." She jokingly said before closing the door.

"The human anatomy is a wonderful creation. We get sick, the body sends out it's own army to fight it. The system also has its own cycle, it's as if someone else has control over our own body."

The professor said as he continued pointing on the screen. The whole auditorium was dark, he had a powerpoint switched on. The place was cold and cozy, a perfect place to sleep. Half of the class had already drifted to dreamland and Joohyun was forcing herself to stay focus. She couldn't afford to stay awake until 3 AM just to catch up.

"—uniquely, the body also has its peak times. For example, when the levels of oestrogen in the women body is at its peak, the women would glow with beauty. Or for wolves, a full moon brings forward the beastly side of them. The bright and glowing moon is their 'peak time'."

"This 'peak times' of the body brings forward different effects, and that your new assignment would be regarding of this." He said and eyed the students in front.

At the sound of new work, most of them wanted to scream. He just gave one last week which was due today and now he was giving them another set of homework. However, Joohyun was rather interested in what he mentioned earlier, wolves. The beastly side he meant was the viscous side of those animals. This would be interesting, she thought to herself.

"Does it only have to be about the human body?" Someone behind her asked. She didn't bother to look back as it was dark anyway.

"Since you are future doctors, I prefer it to be a research on humans. However, if you can find a better discovery on animals, why not?" The professor answered.

The lights were switched on and faces of those sleeping were caught red handed instantly. The professor shook his head, he had no time to scold the brats. They were old enough to know their responsibility.

"Class dismissed." With that, they all walked out of the auditorium. Joohyun went straight to the library to start her small research. She was, for the first time, keen to start learning.
