Joohyun pulled her lips into a thin smile, disappointed. She had texted Jisung various times but he never replied nor did he read any of them. She knew he was busy, but she felt a little lonely at that time.

Plus, she had a lot to tell him especially with that strange encounter with the boy, dog or wolf. After she saw reflection of the boy from that night, Joohyun immediately left without thinking twice. She didn't care if her eyes were deceiving her, but the face she saw was undeniably peculiar.

Of course, it would be crazy if she said that it was a werewolf since there was no evidence of that breed existing. However, she couldn't explain the large size of the animal and the faces she saw.

It was already a Sunday night and Jisung was supposed to be back by now but yet he was still unreachable. A part of her was slightly worried on his unknown whereabouts but then she simply came to a conclusion he was probably driving and she shouldn't be pestering on his business too much.

She switched on the television in the living room and switched through almost all the channels available, but nothing caught her interest. In the end, she decided to watch some boring news. By the time she was halfway through the broadcast, her eyes were droopy and she decided to switch the television off and go to bed.

However, before she could press the power off button, the interview that was currently being broadcasted caught her attention.

"— yeah, I saw a large dog," a man explained while stretching out his two arms to show the size of it. "He was waiting in front of a butcher's shop, I knew it was hungry immediately." He paused. "I wanted to shoo it away, but its size was scary. The next thing I knew, those yellow eyes were staring at me and I knew I had to run." The man explained.

"It—It leaped on me while I was running and I reached for a bottle and stabbed its leg, then I just ran without looking back." The news went back to the reporter and it caught Joohyun off guard.

If this was broadcasted a few years back, Joohyun would instantly changed the channel and marked it as pure nonsense. It was one of those segments where the reporters failed to make a headline. However this time, she believed it. She saw it with her two own eyes, the wound.

The wound on the wolf— dog, would match if the man did stab it. It made perfect sense. Joohyun didn't know she was that scared, until she realised her hands were shaking a little.

If that wolf attacked the man because it was hungry, it could've killed her too.

She quickly switched off the television as she didn't want to hear more theories from the news and decided to get some eye shut. As she was about to enter her room, she noticed the door to Jisung's studio was slightly ajar. It was absurd, as it was locked before which she came to a thought that someone was inside.

Joohyun didn't know how the person got in, but if it was a robbery, she had to be cautious enough to confirm it. She walked slowly to his room, making sure she made no sounds at all. She touched the doorknob, ready to push the door further to reveal whoever was inside.

As she was about to push the door a little, she felt it being pulled from inside, confirming someone was there and was about to attack her. Joohyun raised her hand to send a blow to however was there when she realised it was Jisung himself. This time her heart was beating so fast as she was confused, and slightly afraid.

"J-Jisung? You're back?" She asked as she lowered down her hand. "Yeah, he smiled." Joohyun scanned him from top to toe, he looked normal. He wiped his hands with a small hand towel he was holding. "When did you get back?" She questioned as she obviously didn't see him coming from the front door.

"Recently, you fell asleep in the living room and I was about to wake you up, but here you are." He answered, throwing his hand towel behind the door. "I fell asleep?" She asked as Jisung nodded, she glanced at the clock hanged down the main door and realised it was already 11 PM.

She kept quiet realising what just happened. She backed away a little. It was confusing, was the news she watched just now real? News were normally broadcasted around 6 PM, but what the hell did she watched just now? Could it be an encore?

"Are you alright?" Jisung voiced his concern as he watched her backing away from him with a hand touching her head. Joohyun nodded a few times before quietly made her way to her bedroom. She sat on her bed and tried to recall any part of her falling asleep. Sadly, there was nothing she could remember.

"Woah, are you feeling okay?"

Hyunjin's voice snapped her off of her daze. Joohyun nodded her head weakly as she proceed to write down her notes. The male pulled his lips into a thin line, he could tell she was a little sick or maybe she lacked of sleep but the thing is, she wouldn't tell.

"Had a hard time sleeping?" He asked again, his eyes fixed on her although she wasn't looking back. "You could say that." Joohyun answered without bothering lifting her head. "You know, from your eyes, I could tell there's something on your mind." He said, as he lifted up her chin to face him.

His actions startled her as Joohyun quickly looked away. "Something you feel it's better to keep to yourself as people wouldn't believe you." Hyunjin added. "What are you, a psychic?" Joohyun chuckled as she put down her pen and faced him. However, she couldn't seem to have an eye contact with him.

"I'm all ears, let's have a listen to your problems." Hyunjin smiled, leaning back on his chair. He was acting like a therapist, listening to his patient. Joohyun kept quiet for a while, she didn't know how to begin. She knew what was bothering her, but how was she supposed to make it to not sound crazy?

Eventually she sighed, it was better to pour out her feelings for someone who was willing to listen. "I think I'm seeing things." She started. "Ever since I started that side research on werewolves, I saw yellow eyes sometimes." She said, reminiscing those luminous eyes staring back at her. "I think I saw a wolf as well, but it was dark. My mind is probabl—"

"No, I've heard about it before." Hyunjin said, placing his chin on his palm as he rested his arm on the table. "You have?" Joohyun asked, weirded out. He made it sound like it was a common condition. "Yeah, when we learned physiology. There was that part for hallucinations which were quite common if you took drugs especially." He said.

"I'm not taking any drugs." Joohyun said until she thought for a while that she had been taking some pills to sleep. "Okay, I did took some but they were for my insomnia." She added. "Well, that shouldn't be the problem then." Hyunjin said. "Unless, you took the wrong pills."

"You know there was this legend that went, a werewolf tried to get his scent off his lover and to do so he drugged her everyday without her realising. The side effects were hallucinations, the girl saw things, clues that led to discovering his identity." He smiled. Joohyun had her eyebrows creased, his fairytale wasn't helping her. "What is this, some kind of witchcraft?" She laughed.

"You could say that, but don't tell me you never read about werewolves having supernatural abilities." He added which made her quiet. "Maybe, the things you're seeing is a sign to something you're about to find out."
