Horror. That was the proper word she felt at the moment. Her surroundings were pitch black she had a hard time trying to observe properly. Joohyun was about to grab the pole in front of her when the train came to an abrupt halt causing her body to jerk backwards.
She had expected to drop on the floor but instead she was captured by someone else. With the help of her saviour, she stood on her two feet. Before she could even thank him, the lights flickered.
Joohyun squinted her eyes to see the one who saved her from hitting the floor, however the flickering lights gave her a vague image of the person. Her eyes were playing games when she caught his eyes looking yellow in colour, the same colour she saw in Jisung's room before. That wasn't all, his figure was somewhat similar to the guy she saw in the reflection.
The lights dimmed again and they were back in darkness. Joohyun didn't know where her courage came from but she held the guy's wrist to prevent him from running. She wanted to get another look before she could confirm her suspicion. As if her prayers were heard the lights flickered and seconds later the electricity came back.
However, everything turned even worse when the guy she was holding turned out to be someone she knew so well. Joohyun had her mouth agape from the mini surprise. Her body jerked a little as the train started moving and the guy held on her once again.
"Hyunjin?"
"That was you? Oh,are you alright?" He asked, a small smile played on his lips. Joohyun nodded her head and looked around, Jisung was missing again. She then caught her hand which was still holding his wrist. However, that wasn't the main point. Her eyes caught the bandage around his finger. She was about to ask him when he pulled his hand away.
"It's nothing." He said. Somehow, her mind travelled to a recent news she saw about a murder, one she saw with her own eyes, but the coincidences were too absurd to be true. She wanted to say something to him but the train came to a stop. "I have to go, see you later." He bid her goodbye and Joohyun just watch him left.
Her head was processing things awfully slow, she was truly bothered by everything that happened. Was the scream she heard just now real? Were his eyes yellow? Her minds were playing games with her and she did not know which one to trust. Before she could start moving to find Jisung, he found her first. Worry was evident in his expression.
"Where did you go?" He asked, his eyes scanning her for any harm. "It was dark, I kinda got lost." She lied as she wasn't sure herself. It didn't make any sense how a fall could actually take her to another end of a train. "Hold my hand then, so I won't lose you again." Jisung playfully said and intertwined their fingers. His small actions never failed to make her smile although she had a lot to worry inside.
Jisung then started a new conversation with her but sadly her mind was occupied to even listen properly to what he had to say. "Joohyun?" Her boyfriend waved a hand in front of her face, dragging her back to reality. Joohyun blinked a few times, realising she was caught not paying attention to what he said. "Is everything alright? Do you want to go back?" Jisung asked, his eyes full of concern.
The named girl shook her head, wanting no trouble for him. Jisung pulled his lips into a thin line, he knew well she was lying but he didn't want to push her. He swung their hands back and forth lightly, causing Joohyun to chuckle at his childishness. "Did you hear anything, just now?" She forced herself to ask her curiosity.
The male raised an eyebrow, obviously didn't get a clue of what she said. "When the power was off, did you hear any screams?" Joohyun asked, her voice became softer out of a sudden. She felt insecure, as if someone was listening to her. "Yeah, some girls screamed. Probably they were surprised by the sudden darkness." He answered but that wasn't the answer she wanted.
The scream she heard was eerie, it wasn't from shock, it was from fear. Joohyun somehow felt the feelings the scream was expressing. It sounded awfully scary to her as if the person saw something so horrible, the same scream she let out when she heard the dead body called her name.

"Where are we? I want to open my eyes."
"Not just yet."
Joohyun placed her palms over Jisung's hands which were covering her eyes as they walked slowly to God knows where. She had insisted that she would be fine with her eyes closed on their own as he led the way but Jisung had to be extra and stated one of the reasons he dated her was because she was very sneaky, and he didn't trust her as she loved to ruin his surprises.
"Ready," Jisung whispered from her back as she removed her hands from his. "Now." He said and released his hands from her face as he stood next to her to capture her expression. As soon as she opened her eyes, she was greeted with a dark sky, a sunset. That wasn't the best part, in front of her was an entrance to a fun fair and next to the gates were posters of a circus show.
Her eyes followed other people making their way into the fun fair. The lights were colourful and the smell of popcorn were alluring. She thought her eyes were deceiving her as she still couldn't believe she was here.
Joohyun was left speechless, "You told me that you've never been to a fun fair and I promised you once, so, here we are." Jisung grinned as he gazed at her. "I don't know how to thank you." She said. "There's no need to, I don't like seeing you stressed out." He said as he put down his phone. It was only then it hit her, he sneaked a photo of her and she was positive it would be ugly. Joohyun approached him to grab his phone but he read her mind and moved backwards.
"Jisung, give me the phone." She whined. "No, there's nothing in it." He grinned as he raised his phone above his head. "Don't lie, I'm gonna look ugly." She said trying to reach for the device. "You're the one who's lying, you're always pretty." He replied as he snaked one arm around her waist and smiled.
"Give me the phone." Joohyun helplessly pleaded. "There's nothing in it." Jisung insisted. "Okay then, I won't touch it. Just let me take a peek." Joohyun said as she raised both of her hands, surrendering. "Alright, but on one condition." He said as he leaned down closer to her face, their noses touching.
Joohyun placed her hands on his chest, she knew well what he wanted. Teasing her was his best charm, same goes to her for constantly tricking him into what he hoped from her. However, Joohyun's position wasn't favourable for her to trick him, so she gave up thinking of a way to snatch his phone and leaned in for a kiss instead.
The male didn't wait as he captured her lips instantly into a sweet kiss. He smiled in the kiss, acknowledging that she didn't pulled any tricks on him this time.Joohyun felt glad that Jisung actually took her here as she had encountered strange events currently and it bothered her a lot. Jisung pulled her closer as they ended the kiss. He smiled down at her as he stared into her eyes.
"I love you." He said.
"I know." She replied.
