Sophia

"Gosh darn it, where is he?"
Jeremy mutters as he slouches in his seat next to me.
I place my hand on his back and rub small circles.

All of the losers were here in the shed, except for Finn.
We're all waiting for him.
Wyatt called Finn only ten minutes ago and said he'd be here soon.
Everyone is just getting impatient.

"If he isn't here within the next ten minutes, I'm taking all the snacks and leaving."
Jack declares as he runs his hands over his chest with a look of discomfort.

Wyatt scoffs and checks zis
manicured nails.
"Is that the best you can do, jizz rag?"
Ze insults the transgender to my left.
Jack stands up from his chair with anger and I hold onto his hand to pull him back.
Wyatt smirks up at Jack.

The door to the wooden shed opens and we all see Finn.
"You're late!"
Wyatt snaps at him.
The boy with curly raven hair rolls his eyes and enters to shut the door.

"Look I got distracted.
Also I was hanging out with my other group of friends."
He explains taking a seat next to Wyatt.
Jack sits as well.
I still hold onto his hand.

Jaeden clasps his hands together with a smile that changed the mood in the room.
"Well you're here now, so let's go over the rules with Sophia."

Chosen picked up his bag from off the ground and unzipped the front pocket.
He pulls out a sheet of folded paper, zips his bag up, and puts it back on the ground before clearing his throat and reading aloud.

"Rule number one, never judge another living being for their sexuality, gender or interest."
I like that rule.
It really put a smile on my face.
"Rule number two, don't tell anyone who is not like us about this shed.
Especially Hamilton and his buddies."

"Oh, by not like us, I mean like someone who's not... you know like-"
"I get it.
Thanks."
I interrupt Chosen's little explanation.
He does a small nod and continues to read the rules.

"Rule number three, do not make assumptions about other's gender, sexuality, and interest.
Rule number four, respect others."

Chosen looks up at everybody and folds up the sheet of paper.
Just four simple rules?
This group is better than I thought.

"There is an unspoken rule about telling your family.
Don't."
Jack informs me.
I tilt my head and pinch my brows together.
"Why?"
I ask genuinely confused.

"We like to keep this group a secret, in the closet.
Well, in the shed."
Jermey jokes.
I chuckle a little and adjust the beanie on my head.

Finn clears his throat, catching my attention.
He smirks at me as he leans forward to rest his elbows on his knees.
"So how was your date with Sadie yesterday?"
Finn asks looking at me.

Everyone gasped.
My cheeks flushed a crimson color as all eyes came my way.
I don't really like being on the spot.
I let go of Jack's hand and put it in my lap with my other hand.

I swallowed nervously and began to speak up.
"It wasn't a date.
It was-"
"Wasn't a date my ass!
Did you kiss her?
How was it?
Where did you two go?
Was she flirting with you?
Are we getting a new member?"
Wyatt rambles.
