A Month Later

So, we've been fake dating for about a month and it has its pros and cons. Both Shawn's and I parent's know we've been 'dating' , and both parents surprisingly liked that we were.

My dad's exact words were 'I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.' and everyone laughed but Shawn and I. We just looked at each other and widened our eyes. Why does everyone think we would look really nice together, or were they actually expecting it? I mean, I agree we would look really nice together, I mean duh, but why was everyone expecting it?

Magcon was going to start in a couple days, but it wasn't going to be in Toronto. It was going to be in Dallas and I couldn't go because of Church classes, but I could go to the next one, in Washington. I really didn't even like going to my classes. I'm always alone, and I'm not even that religious. I'm only doing it so my mom could stop nagging at me, and why stop now? I'm already a year done, and you need 2 years to finish and I'm half way there.

It is currently Wednesday and right now I was writing a paper for my History class about World War I in my room when my phone started to ring. The One Direction song 'Na Na Na' was playing in the background from my iPod speaker. Man I love that song, anyways, I looked at the caller I.D and saw that it was Sierra. My most bestest girlfriend in the whole world.

"Yellow." I smirked. She never liked it when I did that.

"Stop! You know I hate that! I don't go answering the phone Orange! or Green!"

"Nah. You know I'm going to keep doing that, anyways whatcha want, I'm trying to write a paper." I picked at my chipping nails.

"I hate you. Anyways, wanna face time?"

"Sure. Just let me get my iPod." I took it off the speaker and turned off the music. Then I pressed her contact and started the FaceTime.

"Ayyyy, wassup!" I said when her face popped upon my iPod screen. I clicked end on my phone and put it on my table next to my bed.

"Ay! So how's life with Shawn?" Yup, I told her everything. I mean, everything, everything. Fake and all. We tell each other everything. Our families were friends way before we were born.

I sighed.

"You know, same old, same old." Sierra lives back in California, but I go there every 2 years to visit her. Same with visiting my older sister, and my family back home. We stay there for at least a month and a half over during the summer or over winter break. I told her that Shawn and I were in a fake relationship, and she thought it was a bad idea. But after I explained to her the reason why I agreed, she was more openminded, yet she was on edge about it.

"And how are you handling it?" she raised her eyebrows at me. I shrugged.

"You know. The normal way anyone would handle this..."

"No, no, no. I'm talking about you liking him, him not knowing anything about it, you being an incredible actor even though your soul is slowly dying. That. I'm talking about that." She was doing her makeup, and she wouldn't look at me in the eye. She always told me she does her makeup when she's bored. Which is often.

"My soul is not dying. And you know why it isn't?" I moved my History papers so I could talk to her and write my paper at the same time. I fixed my iPod on my desk and sat myself where I was comfortable. Yup, I'm a multitasker. Its a gift.

"Why?..." she finally looked at me and furrowed her eye brows.

"Because I have no soul."

"Damn. You're going fuckin emo and shit on me." I couldn't help but laugh.
