Previously on Runaway...

Hearing everything she said broke my heart into tiny pieces, I heard everything. When it came to the end, I couldn't control myself anymore.

I walk up to her and sit on the sofa then place her on my lap carefully, "Oh love why didn't you tell me any of this?" I ask her sadly.

"I'll give you two some space," Caleb says awkwardly leaving the room. I just hug Luna close to my chest until her crying quietens down.

"Am I insane Kai?" She asks tears dripping down her pale cheeks. "Of course you're not love, you've just been through a lot," I whisper, kissing her forehead softly.

"Let's get you something to eat love," I say picking her up easily and carrying her to the kitchen, I sit her on the counter and look through the shelves.

I get out a plate and find a chocolate cupcake, some grapes, a ham and cheese toastie and some lemonade. I arrange it all nicely on the plate, I find a soft fluffy towel and gently wipe Luna's face with it.

"Talk to me love, and I promise I'll listen to you," I say sitting her on my lap and looking deeply into her watery purple eyes.

"Why? You already listened to what I was saying to Caleb, so that's that. Can I go now?" She complains trying to get out of my hold.

I'm not going to lie, it hurts that she doesn't trust me. "No, you can not leave, not until you've eaten and told me everything!" I say sternly.

She just glares at me, I maintain eye contact with her. "I'll eat, I don't feel like talking." She says angrily.

She picks up the plate and places it on her lap, then starts nibbling at the food. We sit in awkward silence, one of us angry and the other worried.

"Please......" I say nuzzling her neck sadly, she swallows her food and turns her head to look at me. "I don't understand why I need to say it again, you already heard me the first time. Why hear it a second time for no good reason?" She says glaring at my chest.

"I want you to tell me why you feel that way, not what you feel I already know that, just please talk to me, that's all I want!" I say kissing the top of her head.

She puts her plate on the table in front of us, then turns her body around to face me. "I don't want to go back to that hell hole, I want to stay here." She says resting her head on my chest.

"You're not going back there, I promise you. You're staying here, with me." I say holding her small hand tightly.

"You didn't let me finish! I thought you said you were going to listen?" She says annoyed, "Sorry I promise I'll listen now." I say quickly.

Women be crazy.

"This house is different, people are nice here. That's why I always think I'm dreaming, I don't want to wake up and be back with Alpha Black." She says softly, playing with my hair. It takes all my self-control to stop myself from moaning, but I manage.

"I don't like going to sleep, my dreams are usually memories. I don't want to remember anything from my past, but I can't seem to forget it." She starts pulling my hair softly, oh my god don't moan don't moan don't moan! Focus Kai goddamnit!
