Previously on Runaway...

His eyes change back to their usual blue, I've known Kai all my life. So I've gotten pretty good, at calming him down.

He grunts out a 'bye, touch her and you're dead'.

Aww, friendship.

I quickly pour a drink, and take her sandwich and drink up the stairs. And along the corridors to her room, I open her door and she's just lead on the bed.

But she's not asleep, I close the door after me. Then go and sit on the bed next to her, I swear I see her flinch.

"I got you some food, do you want some?" I asked. She viciously shakes her head "don't waste your food on me" is all she says...

I look at her shocked, how can she think that? "our food would never be wasted on you" I reason with her.

"Are you sure you're aren't going to eat this because I know I'm not the best chef in the world. But I would like to think I can nail making a sandwich, and pouring a drink from a carton" I say a light smile on my lips.

She weakly laughs, I need her to eat something. She's severely underweight, doc said she the average weight of a 12-year-old. And she's 18!

Jake: Hey Kai, have you finished your food yet?

Kai: yeah, why? Is Luna okay?

Jake: it's just that she's really underweight, as you know. And when I tried to give her food, she said not to waste our food on her...

Kai: why would she say that? My poor baby, so you basically want me to come up and persuade her to eat?

Jake: uhhh, pretty much. Can ya?

Kai: I'll be up there in 5!

Lunas P.O.V

I don't want their stupid food, the one thing I've learned is that if you're offered food. It's usually poised or drugged, the only food I got at the hell hole was drugged, they wanted me to stay weak.

If they're offering me food, it will be drugged. And when I'm drugged they'll take me to the cells, and torture me.

Not a quick death like Edwards...

And I'm too fat, Beta Adam reminded me of this daily. I don't deserve food when I'm this fat!

He's uncomfortably close to me, I want to move away. But that will hurt his feelings, then he will be mad and hit me.

I think he can sense my discomfort because he moves a little further away from me.

5 minutes later

There's a knock on the door, who's that?

"Come in" Jake calls from the other side of the door. It's making me nervous now, who the nugget is it?!

There's a window a few metres away, Jake sees me looking at the window.

"It's just Kai, don't worry you don't have to jump out of a window again." He says quietly.
