Chapter 7 {Separation's & First Birthdays}

Start from the beginning

"Good morning birthday girl, standing but not walking yet huh?" He picked her up and sighed.

"Do you think they are celebrating her birthday?"

"Is she as crazy as you baby girl?" He kissed her head as he laid her down on the changing table when suddenly the door opened.

"Oh you are already up!" Olivia smiled and walked into the room.

"Aw look there she is, the little birthday girl!" She held a camera in her hand, filming it all.

"Aunt Olivia, please..." He laughed and started changing Samantha who started giggling once Joe blew on her stomach.

Once Samantha was dressed Olivia filmed how Joe tried to get her to walk again but Samantha only stood up and sat back down on her butt, making Joe and Olivia laugh a few times.

"Come on baby walk for Daddy."

"Dadadadadada." Samantha started babbling, making Joe laugh again.

"Well then let's go eat something before Daddy has to go to work." He sighed and walked out of the little girl's bedroom and downstairs into the kitchen, placing her in her high chair he gave her a few toys before he got ready himself, letting his Aunt Olivia make breakfast.

Abby's morning wasn't quiet as easy as Joe's. Her mother had lots of new friends and wanted to throw a huge party for Skylar's first birthday, only Abby was against it. She watched her little girl stumble over to her, she had been early with walking and talking.

"Come here baby." She picked her up and smelled her hair which calmed her down a little bit.

"I love you baby girl." She whispered and kissed her forehead.

"I wonder where your Daddy and Sister are."

"Daaa." Sky giggled and touched Abby's nose with her little fingers.

"Yes Dada, I promise you we will see them again as soon as I am 18."

"I am already saving up baby we will find them again."

"Abby?!" Her mother looked into Abby's room.

"Get her dressed!"

"The guest are coming in a few!"

"I brought her a nice pink dress!"

"Get her dressed already!" Her mother rolled her eyes at her daughter and walked out of the room again.

Abby rolled her eyes at the ugly pink dress and got her daughter dressed in normal warm clothes and gave Skylar her favorite teddy bear.

"Aww she is so cute!" Another woman drooled over her daughter as Abby only rolled her eyes.

"There are plenty other cute babies to drool over!" She grabbed her daughter and walked out of the room.

"Abby!!" Her mother shouted after her.

"Where do you think you are going?!"

"Out!!" She shouted as her mother grabbed her arm.

"No you aren't this is Skylar's birthday and we have guests over."

"Well guess what mother, I don't give two cents about this freaking birthday party, I want to celebrate my daughter's birthday with my daughter and not some people who are crazy, I want to celebrate it with Joe and Samantha, you know, your other grandchild if you haven't noticed by now!!" her tears threatened to fall but she held them back, she jerked her arm away from her mother and walked out of the house, wrapping her jacket around Skylar because she forgot to put on hers and it was winter in London after all.

"I love you baby, you, your sister and Joe are the only ones who hold my heart and no one else."

Joe heard her little feet running over the cold floor, he didn't even need to open his eyes. Her giggling was loud enough and he was happy his daughter was happy. She was his everything, it was hard not being able to give her, her mother, he knew he could never replace the place the love of a mother but he tried hard, such a long time had passed since he had last seen her. He gave up all of his hopes of seeing her again. After being offered a better job in another country Joe, his daughter and Olivia moved. He wanted to leave the memories behind but still here, in a new house far away from his hometown he was still dreaming about her, missing her, thinking about her every time he looked at his daughter.

"Ohhhff." Samantha giggled as she sat down on Joe's back, slapping him with her small hands.

"Daddy up, Daddy up." He laughed at her cute talking, she still wasn't speaking the words the right way but you could understand her, that was all that mattered.

"Daddy u- aahhh." She giggled again as Joe had turned around on his back quickly and thrown her up in the air.

"Daddy!" He laughed and laid her down on his chest.

"Good morning baby girl, did you sleep good?" The little girl nodded and looked up at her father.

She started mumbling as Joe sat up and brought her in his lap, seconds later Olivia appeared at his door.

"Joe c'mon get up, it's your free day spend it with Samantha she will be happy to have you for the whole day." He nodded.

After getting her ready and lastly himself he decided to take her to the park, where she wanted to meet with her new friend Kayla.

"Aw don't you look pretty baby?" He gave her a sloppy kiss on her cheek which earned him a giggle from her.

Samantha reached up into the drawer as Joe was holding onto her to grab her favorite hair band, she wore it all the time and it couldn't be missed on this sunny day in the park.

"So breakfast now and then we will go and see Kayla at the park ok?" Samantha nodded eagerly.

Joe chuckled at her carried her downstairs into the kitchen, sitting her down on her chair.
