MaNan: It all started with a lie

"She Is Not Random!" -Manik

Cabir: you relax...we will manage. This won't affect your job

Cabir assured the receptionist and scurried to Mr. Khurana's cabin.

In the cabin

Khurana: welcome fab 5...so good to have you here

Manik*rolls eyes*: can we get the damn meeting started?

Khurana: oh sure manik...guys please get seated

Mr. Khurana was about to sit when he spots nandini.

Khurana: oh I see a new face here! Didn't I already make it clear to the receptionist that no random person is allowed in here?

He frowned and was about to call the receptionist when manik stopped him.

Manik: Mr. Khurana she is not a random person. She is my girlfriend, Ms. Nandini Murthy and she is going to be here throughout the meeting so if you got any problems then maybe I will have to think about this deal again and trust me...you won't like it so...

He trailed off with a smirk.

Khurana*fakes a smile*: oh sure...have a seat Ms. Murthy

Cabir silently chuckled at Manik's behaviour while the rest smirked.

Khurana: so shall we proceed?

Cabir: sure Mr. Khurana...we have been waiting since quite some time now

And the meeting began with Mr. Khurana speaking most of the time and fab 5 keenly listening to him and making points in mind, including nandini. The meeting soon ended and it was decided that they would record their album after two days and launch it on the coming weekend.

Cabir: god finally we are done with the boring meeting! I was starving man

Mukti: right! I agree. So lets have lunch somewhere?

Alia: ya cool

They proceeded to a nearby restaurant for some decent lunch and then resumed back to their homes as they were too tired for anything else.

Manik's car

Manik: um nandu...be ready at 10:30, I will pick you up

Nandini*confused*: why?

Manik: we are going out

Nandini: but where?

Manik: where? Well....that's for me to know and you to think

He winked and halted his car near her apartment. Nandini nodded knowing how stubborn manik could be and asked no questions.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur and the pretty moon rose in the night sky as manik reached to pick nandini up.

Nandini: manik ab toh batao where are we going?

She cribbed like a kid but manik was a pro at ignoring her nagging.

Manik: no can do

He said ever so sweetly still driving his car which stopped after a few minutes. Nandini looked out excitedly to find their car parked outside their favorite ice cream parlour and her smile widened.

Nandini: manik!!! You are the best!!

She squealed and quickly gave a tight buzz on his cheek, hugging him alongside taking manik aback for a moment but he soon reciprocated grinning.

Manik: ab chale?

Nandini just ran out of the car without answering him making manik laugh at her antics as he followed her behind.

Manik went in to find nandini already seated in a corner booth scanning down the menu to check out the available flavors.

Manik*sitting beside her*: so madam did you decide which flavour you wanna have?

Nandini: no na manik....main select hi nahi kar pa rahi hu

Manik*chuckling*: acha you sit here...I will get you something. I know what you might like

Nandini*smiling*: okay!!

After a minute or two nandini found a cone of cookie n cream ice cream in front of her.

Nandini: manik you know na that I don't like extra sweet ice cream then why this? Matlab seriously? We are not at all compatible! Huh!

She huffed and looked the other side when she again found her favorite choco chip ice cream with a bit of coffee essence just as she liked which made her eyes twinkle.

Nandini: Thankyouuu soooooo much manik!!!!

Manik just laughed at her childishness.

She is such a baby! My baby!
He thought with a never ending grin spread across his face.

Hello ppl!!! I know I am very late this time but sorry....I have my boards coming up in like 6 days and have a lot to study. Anyways...coming back to the story...soha's track will be over mostly by the next two updates and then valentines day update, that is, MaNan first official date. I wanted to update this chapter yesterday itself as yesterday we finally got our MaNan back!! Yayyy!! But I couldn't find enough time to do so but its always better late than sorry right?...so here I go! Hope you liked it!
