Chapter 5

"So that poem..song, are you done with it?" I ask Alex, as we finish going over homework.

"It's almost done," he says," To be honest, it's really hard to finish it 'cause..it's been my best so far, and..--"

"You don't wanna ruin it, I get it," I finish is thought for him, as he smiles.

"So what about your song, you done yet?" He smirks, as I giggle.

"My poem wasn't exactly a song, Martin," I tease him, as I answer his question.

"It sure sounded like a song to me.." He comments, as take out my poem sheet and write Chorus below it.

"Now it is..you happy?" I show some attitude.

"Relax, Sar. I was just asking," he giggles.

"Remember, the first dance of the year is coming up..this Friday. Flyers will be out in the halls," Ms. Brown announces, as we begin to pack up.

"You think you're going?" Alex asks me, as I put my shoulder straps over my shoulder.

--BELL RINGS--

"Students, you're dismissed. Sara and Alex, can I please talk to you?" She asks us, we nod and exchange worried glances, walking up to her.

"Yes, Ma'am?" We chorus, as she hits us with a serious look.

"I'm giving you two one last chance. Don't make regret not changing your seats," she warns us, as we walk out.

"That was weird.." I tell him, as he shrugs.

"Maybe it was because we were talking too much," he reminds me, sarcastically.

"Once I start talking to someone, I never can shut my mouth," I giggle.

"I know," he sighs, agreeing.

"Did you just agree with me. Martian?" I tease him and playfully hit him, as he pretends to cower.

We continue walking to..I forgot.

"Where are we going next?" I nervously giggle, asking Alex.

He shoots me a smirk," Thought you would know, oh-so mighty queen.."

I laugh, just thinking about what he called me," Did..you just call me..queen?" I say, still laughing.

He chuckles," Science..queenie."

I roll my eyes, playfully, as he giggles.

"But..when are we to discuss that spanish/music jam out?" He asks me, as we stop in the side of the hallway.

I sigh, as I look up at him and forced a  smile," I thought we said Saturday...?" 

"Oh right," he says, looking into my eyes.

"Do you need another hug, Martian?" I tease him, as he's still looking into my eyes.

He just hugs me, with no response. "If I didn't..then why am I hugging you right now?"

I giggle," I don't know.."

We break apart, exchanging smiles, and continue walking to Science.

*Will's POV*

Wow, first day here, and I already made like 2 good friends.

"So we up for that jam session on Friday?" I ask them.

"I think there's a dance on Friday," Henry says, looking at Maya, then me.

"Oh, well..I'm pretty sure we can somewhat jam to the music there," I tell them, they nod.
