Chapter 18: Return to NYC-Part 2

"Heyy, Sab!!" Sara and I chorus, as we hug her, she hugs back.

"My favorites! How have you been?" She asks us.

"Great, you?" We ask her.

"Amazing because I get to see you guys again and meet some other carpenters!" She says, smiling at Alyssa and Claire.

*Claire's POV*

"Omg, these presents are all amazing!" I smile, as I hug everyone. "Lyssa, we were so lucky to have met Maya." I look at my best friend.

"Yes, Alex?" Alyssa gets Alex's attention.

"Can I play a little song for the birthday girl?" He asks. 

"Ofc!" Alyssa tells him.

He plays Believe by Shawn Mendes.

"That was amazing!" Claire claps her hands.

"You know. There's like a music festival at Central Park tomorrow," Alyssa starts," lots of musicians are gonna perform, you should perform.."

"You and me?" Alex asks Sara, as he smiles at her. She smiles.

"So everyone has a beau," Claire examines.

The group nods, exchanging looks.

"So let's cut the cake?" Alyssa asks. 

She nods.

--AFTER THE PARTY--

*Alex's POV*

"Wait what time is the music fest?" I ask Alyssa.

"Tomorrow starts at midnight..so I'm guessing," Alyssa throws in an coincidental pun,"..9:30 maybe."

"Yup, it's 9:30,"  Claire supports Alyssa's guess.

"Clairey, I'm psychic," Alyssa jokes, laughing.

"Clyssa," Saraya chorus.

I shoot Henry a look," Saraya."

--NEXT MORNING--

"You excited to perform?" Sara asks.

I nod with a smile," Ofc. I love doing it, but I'm more excited today 'cause I get to do it with you.."

"Save the heart-melting for later, hop-along," Maya chimes in, teasing again.

"Now I see where you get the inspiration from, short stack," I tease back, as I look at Sara.

"So shall we go now, kids?" Henry chimes in, as we three look at him. "Yes, I heard all.."

"Subway?" Sara develops a smile, while asking.

Alex shrugs," Whatever you want.."

"YAYYY!" Sara cheers, as Maya and her exchange smiles.

--MUSIC FESTIVAL--

"Wait is everyone leaving?" Sara asks me.

"Looks like someone taken over the stage.." Henry examines.

"Hopefully they'll let Alex take the stage, after hearing his talent," Sara smiles at me.

"Wait a second, I recognize them," I sigh," they're the Lost Kings." (A/N: sorry i had to think of someone, but irl, i bet Lost Kings are rlly nice. but this is all a story;)

"They seem really obnoxious," Henry observes, as the two DJs laugh and blast their music louder.

"I don't want you to go anywhere near them," Maya advises, concerned.
