Letters to my old self
With flowers in my hair,
I watched sunshine send its gift, the light, to us.
Breathing in the air,
Filled with love, filled hatred,
Towards us.
If I did have one clue,
I probably would've figured out what's true,
I didn't know myself like I knew you,
Extraterrestrial being,
Soft features, beaming.
The water in my face,
Drops from my eyes.
It's pretty self-explanatory.
I dream of a faraway land,
Whose existence I'm deeply unsure of,
But I took off,
Wandering in the air.
To nowhere.

A moment later, I lended you my hand,
Still heading for a faraway land,
Our walk was pretty explanatory,
Thought of
Hope, in desperate times,
Love, committing hateful crimes,
Took off,
In the blissful rain,
In peaceful pain,
An awful drain.
Left in pure air,
Heading towards nowhere.
