Heartbreak

Personal note: 

Ironically enough, the work I spent the least amount of time on has the most reads (at least for now). I have divided the "Heartbreak" part into two sections because there are older poems I honestly don't like as much today and that no longer reflect my writing, but I don't want to remove them because they're still a part of what I created and what shaped my writing so far.

 

"Broken"-hearted

I am not defeated,

And will never be.

Chemical reaction in my brain gone wrong,

At the very beginning but I

Couldn't tell wrong from right.

It was already cold,

And I was feeling rather bold. 

With caring curiosity

I made the biggest Mistake I have made so far.

I'll find love I've already found

I'll find love at last,
Remember when you looked at me that way?
I'm hoping with all of my heart that this doesn't end fast,
Don't ever go away.

I'll find love at last.
When I remembered the way you looked at me,
I thought that this was clear, you'd finally come to see,
It's me you want to be with, as well as you are the only one that's right for me,
I can picture myself in your embrace,
I'm home at last,

I have never been able to see you in this light,
Can't really believe you're holding me right, tonight,
Can't believe I feel your arms wrapped around my body tight, tonight,
It feels like a wild dream, like a Hollywood film,
I'm closer to you, yet you appear distant and dim.

I've found love at last,
A spell has been cast,
I don't want to have to think about your past,
This universe is vast.

This is not hope; this is all real,
Never thought I would ever describe something like this, something you can't conceal.
May it be God, may it be chance,
May it be the universe, that dress or that dance,
I do not know what has brought us together,
I know I'd never want to part from you, ever.

I know this might sound a little insane,
Love is a drug,
Life's acting all smug,
If you smile like that, I'm magnified,
It's like I've been hit by a strong spotlight that has left me dazzled,
Your eyes are filled with joy, they're puzzled,
I might never know what has brought you and me together,
But I have a sense that with my pen and paper,
We'll last forever,
For an eternity.

Accidental Love Story ?

As much as I love honor and respect,
as much as I hate catching feelings,
you have somehow managed,
to unintentionally get close to me.

As much as I love writing and disappearing from reality,
you have made me become one with reality.
I used to fall in love with fantasies and surreality,
until I saw you, passing by me.

I used to dream of a life far away from here,
But you made my rethink the decision and maybe see my future here
with you.

I wanted to escape what was real,
Because I never saw realness until I saw you.
I wished to become someone,
desperate for money, desperate for recognition,
but you seem to be my only true ambition.
