Nagising ako mula sa napakaliwanag na sikat ng araw. I opened my eyes slowly. I absentmindedly touched my lips. Naalala ko kung paano ako hinalikan ni love---kung paano niya inangkin sa bawat halik niya ang mga labi ko. I smiled.

I picked up love's button down shirt, wore it, and went straight to the bathroom. I took a bath, wore a loose olive green jumpsuit and a pair of tan Hermés flats. I left my hair to air dry. Bumaba na ako sa receiving area.

I saw Rico's back facing towards me. Nakita ko naman si Georgina sa akin. Ang ganda ng ngiti niya at pataas-taas pa siya ng kilay niya. "Good morning, love." I said sweetly.

Lumingon naman si love sa akin at...ngumiti. "Good morning." he said. Binaling na naman niya muli ang kanyang atensyon sa niluluto niya. Napaawang naman ang bibig ko at unti-unting nagsi-patakan ang mga luha ko.

I looked at Georgina. Tumango-tango naman siya at senyasang lapitan ko si love. She looks like a kid that has been given a lot of candy. Humakbang naman ako papalapit kay love. I hugged him from behind.

"Hey." he said as he looked at me briefly, his voice hoarse and husky.

"Hey." I said.

I slowly neared my lips to his. I closed my eyes and waited for his to meet mine. I felt his breath as he moved his head towards me, but he pulled away even before we kissed. Minulat ko na ang mga mata ko.

Nakangiti siya pero ang kanyang mga mata, malungkot, na tila ba ay humihingi ng tawad. "I-I'm sorry." ang sabi niya habang nililipat ang kanyang nilutong fried rice sa lalagyan. "I'm sorry." he sounded sincere and certain this time, looking right into my eyes. "Everything's suddenly new to me again...I am uncertain of a lot of things right now, but if there's one thing I am sure of...that is I want to find out why I loved you then." he said.

I nodded. The fact that he's trying to give me a chance is more than enough for me already. Hindi ko na napigilan at niyakap ko na siya. He chuckled. Humikbi naman ako. "Pinapaiyak mo naman ako love e." I said.

He looked at me again and wiped my tears away. "Ayan, wala na."

"Why are you doing this?" I suddenly blurted out. Kumunot ang noo niya. "Why so sweet all of a sudden? Why the sudden change of mood, why are you suddenly seeing me and forgetting about Samantha?"

His expressions smoothened. "I'm sorry."

I am getting more and more frustrated by the minute. "Why do you keep on saying sorry?" bakas na ang pagka-urat sa boses ko.

"I told you...gusto kong bumawi. I want to make it up to you. I know you're probably thinking this is only just because of lust or what, but f-uck! There's something in you Margaux." he looked at me. "There's something in you that just keeps on making me feel like melting all of a sudden."

I blushed. "Can I..." I suddenly asked. Napatakip naman ako sa bibig ko.

"Can you what?"

"Can I kiss you?" I asked shyly.

Tumawa siya. I giggled. "Eventually, pero hindi muna ngayon. Let's start off as friends again for the mean time. Wait...don't you think, as strangers muna dapat?"

"Okay. Hello mister, ang ganda naman ng house mo. Ako nga pala si Beatrice Margaux Alegna Zaragoza Montreal, but you can call me Margaux. I graduated BS Architecture in Enderun, I am the current chief executive officer of Montreal Group of Companies, and the editor in chief of Montreal. How about you?" I curtsied and giggled.
