- Margaux's POV -

I woke up abruptly kasi may umaalog-alog sa kama. I rubbed my eyes na alam kong mugto-mugto pa rin.

As promised, the barkada has decided to file an indefinite leave from their own houses and decided to crash in mine and Rico's.

Kilig na kilig naman si Georgina and the truth is, sa kwarto niya natutulog si Tony. Gosh, who would have thought?

"What is it?!" iritang tanong ko sa taong hindi ko pa nakikita.

"Good morning, princess!" rinig kong sabi ni momm-napabangon ako bigla.

"Mommy????!!!" I exclaimed.

"Ba't mukhang gulat na gulat ka? Masama na bang dumalaw sa bahay ninyo ni Rico?"

My expressions softened. "'Di naman, ma. I was just surprised."

Tumango-tango naman siya at nag-ikot-ikot sa kwarto namin. "You know what, this penthouse is so nice! I almost want to live here."

I smiled. "Thanks, ma."

"Looks like your fiancé has a taste for interior designing."

"Of course, ma. He owns an architectural firm."

"Oh right. I forgot. Matanda na ang lola mo. Ay, come here, may ibibigay pala ako sa'yo." she said.

Naupo naman ako sa tabi niya at inobserbahan ang ginagawa niya. Patuloy pa rin siyang nagkakalkal sa bag niya nang ituloy niya ang kanyang sinasabi.

"Our ancestors were very rich, and if there's one thing that you have inherited from them is their taste for jewellery." mom chuckled.

She looked at me. "I almost do not want to do this because I still can't accept na magpapakasal na ang bunso ko.

"Francesca, eldest and first to marry, also July-born, had rubies. Romualda was next, and so she bought emeralds as she was born in May. Lastly, youngest Felicia bought pearls as she was born in June.

"For years, these jewellery sets were handed down from generation to generation, until mom came. Dominica Zobel Zaragoza, your lola, was an only child, that is why she inherited both three."

I gasped and mom nodded.

I suddenly noticed what she was wearing. She wore pearl earrings surrounded by diamonds. Similar designs were present in her necklace, ring, and bracelet. Is it possible na ang kay Felicia ang suot niya ngayon?

"And as your mom, it is my duty to hand you over one of the heirlooms. But before that, take a bath na. Today is your day." she smiled and escorted me to the bathroom.

I took a bath and leapt into the wine-colored jumpsuit we bought in Dior. I looked up and saw that I am blushing. 'Di ko pa rin makalimut-kalimutan kung anong naganap sa'min ni Rico do'n.
