I woke up to the phone buzzing right above my head. I rubbed my eyes as I opened the message. It was from Niall. “Busy today?”

It gave me butterflies. But at the same time, I knew this wasn’t a good idea. He’s in a band, and on top of it he’s my roommate’s cousin. It was a risk to take, but I couldn’t help the fact that I had fallen for this boy.

“Nope. Come over? Delenn has a class :)“ I replied. It was 1 P.M. I went to a concert last night with Delenn, and we ended up home at 3 in the morning after stopping by at our friend Elizabeth’s house. The house was empty, as Delenn had already left to go to her afternoon class. After taking a shower, I checked my phone.

“Ya I’ll head over soon!”

I couldn’t help but to smile.

I heard the door unlock as I lay across on the sofa. “Ellie?” It gave me butterflies just to hear his voice.

I sat up and greeted him with a smile. “Hey.” He carried a big smile as he walked over and sat next to me with his arm around my shoulders.

“Hi,” I smiled. “How are you?”

He gave me a kiss on my forehead before speaking. “Great.” His childish smile made me laugh. “What??”

“Nothing!” I protested as I turned my head back to the TV and watched the show. It felt so right to be in his arms. I turned my body toward him and put my hand on his chest as I rested my head against his shoulder.

~Niall’s POV~

It’s been a quite some time since Ellie and I last spent time alone together.

I look out the window to see the grey sky. It’s already December; it’s been over 3 months since she first came into my life. And I was madly in love with her. How do I tell her…

“Niall look!” She said as she jumped up. “It’s snowing!” She looked at me so excitedly, as if this was her first time seeing snow. I couldn’t help but to smile. She stood up to walk out to the glass door right by the telly. I stood up and followed her as she looked at the snow in awe.

“It’s beautiful,” she mumbled.

You’re beautiful.’ I wanted to scream but I kept my mouth shut.

“Y’know, I’m so glad I moved here. Honestly, I like this place better than my home,” she giggled. “And I wouldn’t have met you if I didn’t.” She looked at me as she bit her bottom lip.

She’s the one,’ I thought to myself as I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.

It’s been few weeks since I last saw her, and now I’m going to have to leave her for a little while again. I have to admit, I was emotional about this.

“Ellie I have to fly home tomorrow.”

Silence.

Shit, did I make her cry? It was just few weeks before Christmas. I wanted to spend time with her, and she probably did too. But this was the only vacation I got to go back home.

~Ellie’s POV~

I had to take a moment to take it in. I wanted to spend time with him, but I didn’t want to make him feel bad. “For how long?”

“Two weeks.” His arms tightened around me.

I didn’t want to turn back. Even though he was coming back, I felt uneasy. “It’ll be fun!” I said as I put on a smile. ‘Grow up Ellie.’ I turned back to look at him, but my smile fades as I look into his eyes. His eyes said it all; he was trying to look happy. No, he was happy that he was going home. But he didn’t want to leave this moment.
