Chapter 56: Friendship Breaks

Vineet comes back home totally exhausted more deeply hurt and saddened but he has to be strong for Ruhana whom he has to take care as he promised to Manvi. As soon as he takes steps towards the room, Ruhana turns on the light and questions him "Where have you been Vineet??"

Vineet looks at her and many thoughts ran in his mind. He came back to his trance when Ruhana snipped her fingers in front of him. Vineet spoke up "Roo.. I want to tell you something"

Ruhana speaks up with tears in her eyes "See, today even my child is not talking to me" she placed her hand on her belly.

Vineet was feeling really helpless, he tries speaking up "Ruhana, listen"

Ruhana looks at him with tears, Vineet closes his eyes for a moment and opens back, he places his hands on her cheeks and says "Roo.. our child will not talk now, he had also left along with his maasi"

Ruhana jerks his hand away in disbelief and says in loud tone "what nonsense are you speaking"

Vineet sighed, he tries to touch Ruhana but she steps back and shouts "Vineet how can you say this? Haan? It is not possible"

Vineet moves forward and held her hand "Ruhana, please I am saying the truth"

Ruhana denies to believe him and comforts him "No Vineet, Manvi's pyre fire had not even cool down and you are saying my child is dead!!"

Vineet tries to explain to her but Ruhana was not ready to listen to him. Vineet finally shouts at her to bring her back into senses "Ruhana, Manvi and our child had left us accept it"

Ruhana looks at him in shock firstly and then break down crying out loud, she places her head on his chest and let's her tears flow "my child Vineet.. No.. I lost everything"

Vineet pats her back, and tears too rolls down his eyes. They remain in the same position for a long time.

He slowly takes her to bed and make her lay on it, he sits beside her and consoles her.

After sometime, Ruhana opens her eyes and turns her head towards Vineet. She looks at him and asked "Vineet are you alright?"

Vineet slightly turns to her and nodes in yes.. Ruhana was not assure because she knew no matter how strong he shows from outside but from inside he was crying.

Ruhana placed her head on his chest, Vineet caressed her head.

Later, Vineet opens his eyes, he looked at the time it was 6am, he looked at Ruhana whose face was pale, he made her keep her head on the pillow and got up from bed. After getting freshen up, he heads to cemetery.

Around after 15 minutes of walk, he reaches cemetery, the priest was present there. Vineet looked at the pyre which had been now converted into ashes. The priest comes and hands him the ashes pot, covered with red cloth.

Vineet looked at it with Manvi running in his mind, he recalls her words, her smiling face, her naughtiness.

"Jiju, when you are with me I have nothing to worry about"

"I don't need anyone when you and di are my strength"

"Save me jeejs, Di is going to scold me please I am your crime partner"

He places the pot, close to his heart and complains "Manvi, how can you leave your crime partner alone"

He then walks back to home.
