As requested by Mr.Baxter, Orion decided it was time to push back her feelings towards Tom and make an attempt to actually get to know him. In an effort to help, Mateo decided to set up a lunch for the two.

Orion stared at the boy blankly as he told her the plan, "Why would I go out to eat when I can easily cook the same thing they're serving?"

Mateo let out a huff, "You've got that hispanic mother mentality."

Orion couldn't help but smile at his words, despite the exasperated tone of them. Her culture was something she took pride in, it was the only thing she truly had for her own. Mr.Baxter, being caucasian, wasn't able to help her stay true to her roots, but thankfully, Mateo and Kelsey aided her in keeping in touch with that side of her. The two showed her the ropes of "being a latino in the modern world" and while at first she didn't grasp the ideas, she eventually caught on.

"That isn't a compliment," Mateo added, seeing the girl's smile. "I hated when my mom would say that." Orion's smile faltered, and she found herself glaring at the boy, who shrugged his shoulders. The two eventually made their way to the cafe Mateo had chosen, Tom already waiting outside. Before he caught sight of the two, Mateo forced Orion to face him, his hands gripping her shoulders. "Okay, breathe check."

Orion's eyebrows knitted together in confusion, "For what?" She wasn't unfamiliar with breathe check, seeing as every date Mateo went on, he was escorted by Orion. Something about it keeping his rep good by being seen with an angel, she never really questioned him any further, just allowing herself to be dragged along for the journey. Then she narrowed her eyes at the boy, and stepped out of his hold. "This isn't a date," She clarified, Mateo's lips falling into a pout. "You can keep dreaming about it, but it won't happen."

"Oh, I will keep dreaming about Tom, maybe not you," He retorted with a cheeky grin, Orion mockingly gagging. He rolled his eyes, pressing a kiss to the girl's forehead. "Call me if he tries any freaky shit, unless you're into that."

"Bye Mateo," She sighed, pushing the boy away gently. He shot her finger guns before walking away, Orion rolling her eyes at the boy. Turning on her heels, she made her way over to Tom, the boy instantly standing straighter as he noticed her approaching. "Let's get this over with," She mumbled as she stood in front of him.

"No 'Hi Tom, how are you?' or just a hello?" He muttered sarcastically, following after the girl as she lead them in. He remained silent as she spoke to the woman at the front, a pleasant smile on both their faces. He couldn't help but stare at the girl, almost in amazement. Not at her features, because anybody with eyes could see she was beautiful, but how well she was with people. Except for him. It was like a completely different girl revealed herself to Tom, a girl who was rude and sharp tongued, a girl who only seemed to care about herself. Yet to everyone else, she was Orion; highly praised angel, friend of the world, too sweet to do harm to anyone.
