Reneé was just counting the days, waiting to run away. Each minute felt like an eternity to her, the claustrophobic walls of her room, the once bright pink coloured paint that made her happy after a long day at school made her feel like it would close in on her. She looked out the window, searching for hope in her dear nature, but the atmosphere was dull and depressing. The same roads, the same sky, and everyone moving. It was just Reneé who hadn't moved, changed since an year, still in the same place, sulking. Each and everything around her screamed at her, clawing at her heart, her mind a raging animal. Nobody could understand the intensity of her frustration and sadness, she fidgeted with her fingers, the tips of which were bitten raw, she wanted to pull them out.

She wanted to scream, yes, it sounded like a perfect liberation.

But no sound came, locking her into darkness.
