Renée stood over the rocky cliff, at the Calanque De Porto Fino. Puffs of misty fog permeated the morning atmosphere from the calm Mediterranean waters below. On any other day, Renée would've savoured the magnificent hues of the sky, the way the orange sun gracefully cast it's slanting rays, which penetrated and blended into the cloudy, azure sky. The way the lush, wet trees swayed accordingly with wind's commands. But not today.
The sky, the sea and everything in between were black and white. It looked dull and lifeless.
As a photographer, Renée couldn't help, but she instinctively kept picturing how it would be a perfect location to use her wide angle lenses to click a panorama. The light brown orbs scanned the scenery, pondering over the angles. She almost reached for her camera, which was stashed away in her backpack.
But no, for the first time, she didn't reach for the camera. She stayed still like a statue, inhaling her last few ounces of oxygen.
Any time now.
