"Sir, p..please!" I pleaded to Washington.
"(Y/N), I'm sorry." He put his hand on my shoulder.
"Sir--"
"(Y/N), you have to go."
"Washington." I started calling him by his last name.
"Miss Laurens--" He raised his tone.
"Goddamnit, let me fight!" I fell to my knees, crying into my hands.
"(Y-)"
"LET ME FIGHT!" I cried. I was practically shouting at him, but I couldn't do anything else but plead and shout.
"Who are you fighting for, (Y/N)?!" He stood tall.
I remained quiet.
"What are you fighting for?!" He raised his voice louder.
"I... I- I don't... I don't know." I turned into a crying mess.
"Is it the country?"
"Your family?""Your love--" He kneeled down to my level.
"No, no, no!" I kept crying.
"(Y/N), I love you."
I looked up at him, still crying.
"You're like my daughter. I've never had the chance to have children." He looked into my eyes.
"I'm.. I'm so sorry." I looked up at him, sobbing.
"No, I don't want you to get hurt." He furrowed his brows.
"Sir, please." I cried.
"(Y/N), you need to go." He pulled me into a hug.
"(Y/N)." John joined in the conversation.
"I- I.. I'm fighting for... I'm fighting for him." I pulled my knees to my chest, crying into the fabric.
"Who is.. He?" Washington held my cheek.
"I don't know. I just.. I love him." I looked up at him.
"I can't let you fight. You need to stay with me. Please." John stood beside Washington.
"I.. John, he's going to leave me. He'll forget me." I cried.
"Lafayette?" John cupped my cheek.
"I don't know." I looked up at him, furrowing my eyebrows.
"Is there someone else?" Washington started.
"N..No. I don't think so." I hugged my legs to my chin.
'There might be.' I thought.

Laf's POV
(In France)"She's going to mess me up, Mon ami." I drunkenly slurred.
"I know. That's why you should leave her." He tipped his head to the side.
"Good advice, um.." I tried to think about his name.
"So, what's your name anyway?" I have him a drunk smile.
He coughed a little.
"What?" He nervously shook.
"I didn't catch your name." I rested my head on my hand.
"Oh, it's.. it's Antoine."I swear I've heard that name before. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
"I'm Lafayette." I gave him an idiotic smile.
"First name?" He tipped his head again in question.
"Last." I layed back, proud of myself for moving on.
I'm just staying here for supplies.

Your POV
"I miss him, Herc." I scooted over to sit beside one of my best friends.
"I know, but you'll get over him."
Herc smiled."I don't think I will. I love him, and I always have from the moment I saw him."
"I understand." He gave me a pitiful smile much like the one Washington gave me.
"I really.. I need him." I covered my face with my hands.
"Are you sexually frustrated?" He tipped his head in confusion.
"No, and I'm not doing it with you." I glared at him.
"I know, I know." He backed up.
"It's just... I need someone."
He remained quiet as a sign for me to continue my rant.
"He made me feel a way that nobody--" I remembered Antoine.
"N..Nobody else made me feel." I ignored Antoine, and tried to focus on Laf.
"I guess you could say I was Helpless." I chuckled.
"Yeah." Herc smiled.
'What are you fighting for?' Washington's voice kept repeating in my head.
"Who am I fighting for?" I thought out loud.
