I couldn't run, not in my current condition. They would catch me for sure if i tried. Cant shoot my way out. I couldn't move to try and dodge if we traded fire. I was a sitting duck if i fired. There was no way out for me. Im screwed!

"Do me a favor, don't try and run. I really don't want to chase you down." The brow dragon said as he began walking toward me. I began to backpedal away from him. Slowly trying to increase the distance between the two of us, but in my injured state, i couldn't go very far. Suddenly, a red dot appeared on his head. He stopped and moved a paw in front of his face so the dot shone on his paw. The dot quickly went back to his face as he stopped moving.

"I wouldn't do that if i were you. Your going to start something you'll regret dearly." A voice called from behind me. The dragons on the brown ones team immediately locked there weapons onto a target behind me.

"Ahhh, don't try it. Im faster than you on the draw. Your leader will die before you even get the chance." The voice called. I knew this voice, i could feel it in my chest that i knew him.

"So, you a member of his team or something?" The brown dragon asked the one behind me.

"No. Im known as a ghost to all who know my story. My job is to defend those who cant protect themselves. Like this one here. Ive seen things that would make any normal dragon kill themselves. I.........am the grim reaper himself, a shadow, a demon. The few that have seen me in action call me Razgriz, or in english, the demon if the north sea. Oh, and just a heads up. I didn't earn the name Razgriz with simple fighting techniques." He called making the others smile.

"So, your the demon of the north sea. You know, nobody's seen your real face. Those who you left alive in your attacks went crazy. You remember a base in Afghanistan? Goes by the name of Firebase Viper?" The brown dragon asked.

"Yeah, i remember it. As i recall, 10 dragons and 42 humans were killed right?" The voice replied.

"Legend has it that it was you. A friend of mine watched you kill the strongest dragon we had on base in less than a second. He told me no matter where he ran, you were waiting for him. Because of that night, he went insane and killed himself. So, why did you spare him?" He asked.

"He wasn't a target, so he wasn't of any concern to me. As for him watching me take my target, I knew he was there. My eyes see all." The voice stated.

"And what about me!? Why did you spare me!? You killed every dragon in my barracks, but left me. Why spare me!?" He growled at the voice.

"You weren't a target. Everyone i killed that night was a target of the resistance. And because of my mission, the base was abandon the next day. I don't enjoy killing, but i will choose that any day over being used. I killed members of your team, so i feel your pain for losing them. But, if you peruse revenge, you will lose. You still have the chance to join the resistance and fight for the freedom of all. Your choice." The voice replied.

"Like hell id join you. You killed my best friend! That being said, I'm going to settle my score with you!" He growled as he began walking toward me.

"Cant you tell? You've already lost kid." The voice replied.

"Roark! Stop and take a look around yourself." The red and orange male called, his body was extremely still, as were the other members of his team. Thats when i noticed a red dot pointing at the head of his 4 team mates. The brown dragon stopped walking and looked around himself carefully. It took a moment, but he noticed the red dots as well. Gritting his teeth he began to slowly backpedal toward his team.

"Is it really worth sacrificing them? Be a wise leader here. Make the wrong choice and you'll have to live with the decision your entire life." The voice called.

"The legends are true about you. Smart leader, fighter, and a master of death. You get off this time. Next time, you die." He growled.

"Next time, i wont warn you of my presence." The voice replied. The brown dragon smiled and took to the sky with his team close behind. The air grew silent between me and the one behind me as the wingbeats of the others disappeared into the sky.

"So, am i a target of your?" I asked as footsteps slowly approached from behind me.

"Sort of, but thankfully i managed to get to you before they did." He replied coming to a stop behind me. I slowly turned my head to look at him. He was a jet black dragon, with dark red belly scales. Around his ankles and on the pads of his paws were also dark red. On his head was a white, metal mask. It seemed to be aluminum to me. I was used to wearing and seeing dragons with cloth masks on so, this was new, and looked extremely scary. The mask came down to just below where his mouth was, covering the top of his muzzle, and a small bit of his bottom jaw, which was visible, only when he spoke. The mask continued up his head and wrapped around the back of his skull. Holes had been made for his 4 horns in the top of the mask, and from what i could tell, held the mask in place. The mask had 2 eye holes that reminded me of dragon eyes cut into the mask. They were narrow enough that you couldn't look into the mask from the outside, but still see out of it clearly on the inside. On the sides of the mask, 2 dark red stripes ran. They started at the end of the mask and ran to underneath the eyes. Once there, they slowly curved out and circled around, going strait down to the bottom of the mask, giving the mask a creepy kind of smile. The dragons black ears poked out the back of the mask, standing strait up at attention toward me. The demon of the north sea fit him perfectly. He looked like a demon to me. Even the 20 caliber rifle on his vest gave off a scary, death vibe toward me.

"So.......if I'm your target, that must mean my times up?" I asked turning to face him completely. The mask was emotionless, so i couldn't tell what he was thinking at all.

"Your on my list for other reasons. You don't need to worry about me." He replied. I knew this dragon. It was something in the tone of his voice that i had heard before.

"Easier said than done Mr.Razgriz. Demons are hard to get along with. Besides, what am i supposed to call you? Razgriz? Demon? Not the easiest to roll off the tongue. " I replied feeling a large weight flow off my shoulders knowing he wasn't going to kill me.

"Well then, if thats the case." He laughed. Bringing a paw to the tip of his muzzle. He grabbed the tip of the mask, and folded it toward the top of his head. The mask separating in small sections and folding neatly on top of each section as they came to a rest on top of his head. My heart skipped a beat and i stepped back as disbelief came to my mind.

'How was he alive!? How was this possible!? We buried him!' My mind screamed at me.

"Just call me dad then." He replied with a smile i so desperately wished night and day for years to see again.
