I had some inspiration to write a few moments ago, but I just finished the idea I was on and I lost my train on thought. I feel like this book is going pretty good, but sometimes authors need breaks.
"You finished writing?" I hear a groggy voice from the right of me. I turn my head to see Harrison stretching out next to me.
I sigh and nod my head slightly. "Yeah, my train of thought and ideas ran out so I found it best to stop for now."
Harrison twitches his mouth and looks forward. Once again, he looks like he wants to talk but he won't say anything. Is it bad that I think he's cute when he does this?
"Do you want to read what I have so far?" I ask, placing both my hands on my laptop.
Harrison's eyes light up and he looks over at me and reaches his hand out. "Do I ever." He smiles.
"Don't delete anything, don't write anything and don't change anything. Only reading." I say, being very stern about my words.
Harrison chuckles and opens the laptop up. "Don't worry I won't. And I won't say a word about it okay."
I nod and smile while looking at him. "Okay."
And so I close my eyes and lean back, getting a well deserved nap.
------------
"You don't seem like yourself, are you okay?" Tom asked as he sat on my bed where I was just staring at the wall.
I sigh heavily and shrug my shoulders. "I'm fine Tom. Just don't worry about it."
"Is it about exams? Because I can help with that." Tom scooted closed to me.
I shake my head, thinking of the year end finals we have to take to enter our last year of school.
"It's nothing Tom. Please don't worry about it." I say trying to convince him
I way okay.
Tom places his hand on my shoulder and looks at me. I turn my head to meet his gaze. "Your my twin sister. We've been through everything together. I know you better then anyone. I know your not okay, so I need you to tell me." Tom says.
Tears fill up in my eyes and I lean my head on Toms shoulder. " I feel like if I explain to you, you would think its stupid." I quiver.
Tom puts an arm around me to comfort me. "Nothing you say is stupid Alexa. I love you and you know that."
"Well...I'm just having troubles that's all." I say quietly.
"What kind of troubles?" Tom asks getting concerned. Tom thinks for a moment then I can hear him quietly gasp when I think he realized it. "Is this about Mike?"
Mike is the guy I'm dating, and we've been together for two years.
"Yeah." I say quietly and close my eyes, letting tears stream down my cheeks.
"What happened?" Tom asks.
"I don't want to talk about it." I whisper, getting scared of what Tom might do if I tell him what happened.
Tom say up, causing me to have to lift my head up. "Alexa Sophia Holland, you tell me what happened right now."
I put my hand to my mouth and start to sob. It was all too painful. I wrap my other arm around my waist.
"Did-did he hit you?" Tom asks getting angry and upset.
I slowly nod, and lift my shirt up to show the bruise on my side. "I-it's not the first time."
"Why on earth did you tell me this! Alexa, I could of helped you. Harrison could of helped you!" Tom jumps up and is waiting his arms.
"I-I don't know why I didn't tell you Tom. But I ended it. It's over. I just need time to process things." I say and wipe away tears.
Tom calms down and sits back down next to me. He incases me into a hug and lays down in the bed, and I cry into his chest. He strokes my hair and let's me cry.
"Shhh, there there Alexa. It will all be okay." He says quietly. I couldn't ask for a better brother.
A/N: Hmmm....good ideas arising :)
