Tattoos and fire

Etched deep inside -

Yet able to be witnessed outside

Unable to erase

Out there for the world to see

Shake your heads

Place your judgments

Pound your fists

But these patches cannot be wiped away

The stigma that you emit –

Should be snuffing your own nose

Hypocrites.

What happened to self-expression?

What happened to being yourself?

An imagine sprawled across a person

Should make no difference.

Brave on my little soldiers

Be tough;

The worst is yet to come

So don’t let them get to you.

After all, it’s not hurting anyone

Just do what makes you –

You.

And walk to the beat of your own drum….

Anger.

A feeling I think that is underrepresented in this collection. So here it is. Me rambling on freedom of expression. Hopefully the next time I take a crack at writing angry poems, the emotion will be infused better.

Hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! :D Don't forget to vote and comment!

PS – Yes, I’m taking about both the literal and non-literal meaning behind tattoos.

PPS – Here’s a short poem inspired from one I read in English class (I ain't gonna post it separately as it is too short)

Fire fire everywhere

And all the bodies did burn

Fire fire everywhere

Let’s hope the lesson is learnt
