Some days I still wonder how we stood side by side
Deep in love and mad with compassion
Some days I still wonder what you meant to me
Another experiment? Or were you the one to keep?
Some days I still wonder how I broke our shard of trust
By breaking my own rule and ignoring my own morals
Some days I still wonder about an alternative ending
If I had remained faithful, would I be here reflecting?
Some days I still wonder why I did what I did
The kiss meant nothing, and yet I lost everything
Some days I still wonder if you had moved on
Our path no longer conjoined, but now estranged and forlorn
