one year later
Gabbie's POV
After a few months, due to time differences and different schedules, Grayson and I said we should just end it there. Now this time it was a mutual agreement. He and I still talk and whatnot. I still kept in contact with Ethan. They didn't want to put the house on the market for their own private reasons. It's none of my business so I never asked why. I can't say that I don't miss the boys though. I don't really know why I never visited.
"Gabbie. I'm going out for a bit. I'll be home in 3 hours." Jenny said.
"Have fun. Be safe. Use protection." I said.
She rolled her eyes and walked out the door.
I was falling asleep then the doorbell rang. Multiple times. Boy.
"I'm coming. Jesus Christ." I yelled.
I opened the door and squealed.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE BACK?" I hugged him.
"I wanted to surprise you." Ethan smiled.
I squeezed him.
"I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too."
"Where's Grayson?"
"Gabbie..."
"What?"
"Uhh..."
"Ethan, what is it?"
"Grayson has a–"
"OMIGOD THERE YOU A–" I quieted down, "Ethan... who's that girl?"
"That's his girlfriend..."
I stood there in disbelief. He didn't tell me about her. He never mentioned anything about a girlfriend.
"What?"
He gave me an apologetic look.
"Gabs, I'm sorry."
"Hey." Grayson walked over and hugged me.
"Hi." I tried to control my tears.
"Gabbie, this is my girlfriend, Ashley. Ashley, this is Gabbie."
"I've heard a lot about you." Ashley smiled.
Can't relate.
"Nice to meet you." I said.
"We gotta get going, I wanna take Ashley to a few places. It was good seeing you again." Grayson hugged me again and left.
"I'm gonna assume this is where we establish that we're having a sleepover tonight to catch up and whatnot." I looked at Ethan.
"Correct."
"Why didn't he tell me?"
"I don't know."
