Chapter 11- Diamond In The Rough

Another day at school and Katie was being pushed around in the hallways. Probably because she was a ghost in school. People never saw her and she didn't fit in any group in the school. Katie took all the pushes, nothing she wasn't used to.

Katie saw Amanda and Connor by his locker kind of fighting like they had issues. She saw the football guys nearby torturing a nerdy guy. The family went on talking about their day as they enjoyed their meal together. Katie got up clumsily from her dad and he woke up. "Don't stay up too late, boys.", Mr. Gerber said. "You got it, Sir.", said one of the guys. Ken kissed Katie's forehead. "Sweet dreams, sleepyhead", he said. "'Mm..night, Kenny.", she said and left for her bedroom upstairs. Connor watched her as the guys continued talking.

Katie got in her silver satin nightie and sank under the covers. A while later, she heard a sound at her balcony door. She sat up in confusion as the sound came again and she saw the pebbles on the balcony floor through the transparent sliding doors.
