Sal's birthday
37 years old
8:30am

Today was Sal's birthday and he was not in a good mood. He woke up mad and I don't even know why. He completely ignored me and I didn't do anything to him. Jenna was about to say something to him, but I held her back from doing so. We got back from the Cruise yesterday, so maybe that's why Sal's mad, but he shouldn't be. Jenna and I were sitting with Joe and Kerri when we heard a loud yell. I suddenly remembered that it's been exactly seventeen years since his sisters were killed. I slowly stood up and handed Joe to Jenna and went to see what he did. I closed the twins' door behind me and walked to the bedroom where I saw Sal with a bloody razor in his left hand. I saw cuts running up his right arm and started crying while I slowly walked to him. I snatched the razor out of his hand and placed it on the floor beside me. I put my hands on his knees and looked into his beautiful green eyes. "Sal, why?" His eyes filled with tears and he broke out into sobs. His body shook with sobs and I sat on the bed next to him. I laid his head on my lap and grabbed one of my old shirts off the floor and wrapped it around his arm. I ran my fingers through his hair and held his right left hand in mine. "Did you take your medication?" I asked softly. He shook his head and I reached over him to grab it out of the nightstand. I made him sit up and held his left hand out, so I could dump two pills in his hand. He looked at me with sad eyes and then swallowed the pills. I then laid him down on my side of the bed and stayed with him until he fell asleep. Once I knew he was asleep, I quietly left our room and went back to the twins' room. Jenna looked up and asked, "What happened? Were you crying?" I sighed and sat down with her.

"Seventeen years ago your dad's sisters were killed. Jenna and Dana. His third sister was killed a few years ago by the same guy that killed Jenna and Dana. He takes medication to help with his depression, but he never took it today. Sal has been suffering for a long time. That is also why I named you Jenna." Nothing else was said for a few moments and then she said, "Please don't ever leave us." I put my arm around Jenna held her close. "I don't plan on ever leaving you guys. All four of you are my whole world. Fifteen years ago I couldn't even see myself as a mother, considering I hated, still do, children. But ever since I had you, I would love my children. I'll protect all of you at whatever cost I can." Jenna looked up at me and slowly asked, "Did they ever catch who killed them?" I shook my head and with a frown, I pushed myself off the ground. I took the twins out of Jenna's arms and put them in their cribs. She stood up and then asked more questions. "Do you think the police will ever catch who killed them? Is the case still open? Who do you think it is?" I rubbed my hands over my face and replied, "It depends on if they find more killings or something like that. The case is only open since Sal is a celebrity. I don't think they'll close it until they find the person. Honestly, for years I have been suspecting Shane Miller because I knew he killed people and I think the news said something about killings in New York and Shane was here at the time. Shane was very abusive. He would beat me every chance he got, he raped me, threw me down the stairs, shot me, choked me, do I need to go on? But yeah, in my opinion, I think he did it. I also know that he was back in New York when his youngest sister was killed because Bessy told me." Jenna nodded and then hugged me tightly.

I hugged her back and kissed the top of her head. I heard the creak open, let go of Jenna, and turned around to see Sal standing there with tired eyes and very messy hair. It hasn't even been thirty minutes, has it? Jenna stumbled her way over to Sal and hugged him extremely tight. He looked really confused but hugged her back. He looked at me and his green eyes sparkled in the light. My phone then started ringing and I saw that it was Joe. I answered it, "Hey, what's up?" Joe was panting and breathing heavily into the phone. I became confused and calmly asked, "Joe what's wrong? Why are you panting?" Joe finally spoke, "Come. Out. Side. I have. To tell you. Something." I sighed and then mumbled, "Fine, calm down while you're waiting." I then hung up and slid past Sal and Jenna and ran down the hall and stairs. I opened the front door and stepped out onto the porch. Joe was sitting on the steps, so I sat down next to him. "So I was watching the news fifteen minutes ago and they brought up the case about Sal's sisters. They know who killed all three of them." I quickly stood up and took a step back. So many thoughts were running through my head that they were making me dizzy and I thought I was gonna puke. "Who did it?" I croaked out. Joe stood up and stood in front of me. He breathed in heavily and said, "Shane." That's when I passed out.
