Joe's POV
"That sucked," I mumbled walking off stage. "Joe! You guys did well!" Haley snickered. "Please go burn in hell." "I'm already there. It's a nice place. Maybe you should go there for a live show." "Burn!" The other three girls yelled. "That wasn't a good comeback you idiots," Haley laughed. "It was in the moment," Kerri replied back flipping her hair over her shoulder. I rolled my eyes and laughed. Sal walked passed us and I walked after him. "Dude, what's wrong?" "How the hell could she make us do that?" He asked shaking his head.
"Sal, it's not a big deal." "I didn't want to do karaoke though. You know I don't do that." "Sal if you don't do that, then explain what you did with Q when you went to see Fast and Furious Seven with fans. You did karaoke afterward, didn't you?" "Yes, but-" "There are no buts Sal. She wanted us to have fun. Seriously, dude, what's up? Did you take your medication this morning?" I asked knowing very well that Sal probably didn't. He shook his head and looked down at his shoes. I frowned and put my hands on his shoulders, "Sal you need to take your medication, or I'll tell your doctor." "Joe I'm fine," he mumbled. "No, you're not. Sal, you're depressed still, aren't you?" He didn't say anything, and I closed my eyes.
"Sal, I'm sorry you're still hurting that Jenna and Dana died, but it's time to move on." "It's been a year Joe!" He yelled at me, "I can't move on. They were my sisters," he quietly said with tears in his eyes. I quickly pulled him into a hug and he let out a sob. "It's going to be okay Sal. It's going to get better," I whispered. I felt him bury his face in my shoulder and I rubbed his back soothingly. I heard footsteps and I turned my head just enough to see Haley standing next to me.
She had a worried look in her eyes and I slowly let Sal go. He still clung to me and I nodded for Haley to come behind me and take Sal's arms off me. Once she did, he quickly wrapped his arms around her. "What's wrong?" She asked me. "That's not for me to tell," I replied. She nodded and slowly took Sal out to the truck. I went to find the others, but I wasn't expecting to see what I found. Kerri and Q were basically sucking off each other's faces. I scrunched up my face in disgust and yanked at Q's arm. He pulled away from Kerri and looked at me.
"What?" He asked. "Sal," was all I said. He quickly stood up and went to get, I assumed, Murr. Kerri stood next to me with a questioning look. I ignored her, so I could find Bessy. Kerri followed me and when we found Bessy, Kerri dragged her outside. I waited for Q and Murr for like five minutes. Once they showed up, I dragged them to the truck. "What happened?" Murr asked. "Sal didn't take his medication." "Oh shit!" Murr yelled. Once Q heard that, he ran to Sal. Murr, the girls, and I ran to the truck too and I saw Sal on the ground sobbing into his knees. Haley was next to him, rubbing his shoulders, but I could tell that it wasn't helping. Brian kneeled down on the left side of Sal and slowly made him stand up.
Sal tried to refuse to get up, but Bri was stronger and had him up in seconds. Haley opened the backseat door and she helped Q get Sal in the seat. Haley threw her keys to Bessy and got into the backseat with Sal. I got into the front seat with Bessy while Q sat on the other side of Haley. Kerri, Rosalie, and Murr sat on the floor. I heard Sal sniffling and Haley quietly whispering in his ear.
By the time we got back to Sal's house it was eight o'clock. Bessy pulled into the driveway, turned the truck off, and sighed. I rested my hand on her shoulder and she looked at me. We smiled at each other and I looked back at Sal, who fell asleep. We all got out, while Q and I lifted Sal out of the truck. Haley grabbed his keys out of his pocket and ran to unlock the door. Q and I struggled the whole way into Sal's bedroom and we were relieved when we got him to his bed without dropping him. Q and I closed Sal's door quietly and went to the living room where everyone else was sitting. Haley and Murr were quietly talking and I heard Murr say, "He's been like this for awhile." "Murr! Shut up!" I whispered shouted. He looked at me like a deer in headlights.
"Sal will tell her when he's ready," Q added. Murr sighed and stood up quickly. He stormed over to us and jabbed a finger at my chest, "You know damn well he won't tell them! He keeps his life private, but they have a fucking reason to know what happened! It's not fair! Haley told Sal her secrets!" "Not all of them," Haley interjected. Murray held his hand up and continued talking. "If he doesn't say anything by the end of the week, I'm telling her." "You have no fucking right to say anything!" Q yelled at him. "Guys! Shush!" Haley snapped.
I shook my head and went to the kitchen. I heard footsteps behind me and I turned around. Bessy was standing in front of me with a sad smile. "It's bad isn't it?" I nodded my head, "Since what happened to Sal last year, we all have been fighting non-stop and I don't know what to do to stop it." "Joe, maybe you guys need a break from each other. You guys are always together. Every single day. Put Impractical Jokers at rest for now." "We can't. That's the thing. TruTv wants us to film all the time, so we have more footage and can have more episodes and seasons." "Fuck TruTv. You guys making up is more important. If you don't take a break now, the fighting will get worse. It might even show on the show." "You're right, but we can't do it right now. We're almost done with the season." "Just please take a break when possible," with that she left the room. She's absolutely right; we need a break and soon.
